The campaign was very smart and very successful from a marketing point of view. I understand most of us (including me) are disappointed in not getting a copy. But the main objective of the campaign was not to fulfill the demand, but to create awareness. And that worked perfectly. The mystery with the t-shirts, the question what comes next on the website, will there be secret shows, etc. all contributed that it was talked about among fans and media.
Everyone will get the chance to get a physical copy of the album (with the R&T song on it). And no one is talking about the exclusive single after a few months (with exception of hard core collectors).
Was wondering who that was. I thought there was an outside chance it was Keith.
Wonder who plays the sax fill after Mick's line about the "lonely saxophone." Could it be an old sample of Bobby?
As I stated earlier the Bull Moose chain in New England received 3 to 4 copies. My location in Keene NH had one. The misinformation in their “cockroaches campaign” is unforgivable to me, just like the Hot Stuff screwup on the Black and Blue on the expanded edition.
Shame shame, and the sax too……Keith would hear Chuck Berry and pick up on Johnny Johnson. Live by the Sword had similar results.

For the first time in nearly four decades of following every move this band makes, I’m not just underwhelmed – I’m genuinely disappointed. This "cockroach" PR campaign feels like a heavy, misguided stumble that I’m having a hard time shaking off.
It has all the hallmarks of a young marketing team that has been handed the keys to the kingdom but has no idea what they’re holding. They are sitting on 60+ years of cultural gold, yet they’ve opted for a cheap, literalist gimmick that feels completely disconnected from the Stones' DNA.
The most frustrating part? The band allowed this. It’s disheartening to see the "World’s Greatest Rock 'n' Roll Band" sign off on a narrative that feels this hollow and beneath them. We’re used to calculated cool; we’re being served amateur hour.

I think it’s a great track. Fun to turn up. I take back any pre disappointment. I eagerly await the promo video filmed in the Delta area. It needs to have the look and feel of Satisfaction Guaranteed, another solid promo video

At the end of the day, we all found a way to obtain the single, a few of us was able to buy the limited packaging, the others are happy with a free download-
What really counts is the new music.
The young marketing team can keep the keys to the kingdom and fill it up with their colored vinyls, fancy t-shirts, bottles of rhum, etc. etc.

I have a feeling that more than half of the 1,000 copies of the Cockroaches single was picked up by IORR regulars.
The numbers, shops, queuing early etc. The only challenge would have been the raffle some shops made. I mean some arrived early, queued for hours, others arrived at opening hours, then some shops made a raffle, so that a random person in the queue would get the one and only record the shop had got. That is unfair and brutal!

My friend called Underground Sounds in Ann Arbor, MI USA, the guy who answered thinks they got five copies of the record in.

Okay, the locations/cities should be correct now.
For some cities, the number of singles sold is still missing; perhaps some of these " ? " could be replaced with a number.
The countries highlighted in color should represent the total number of sales.
Yes, I also think that some will still be available on Record Store Day, but probably not for online ordering. It's probably likely a lottery for regular customers directly in the record store.
Some will certainly have been held back for advertisers / press, etc., and unfortunately, some will probably have been held back by store owners to sell on eBay, etc.
I think the estimated number of roughly 550-650 correctly sold singles could be accurate. 120 shops in only 15 countrys !

And no tour.. oh well... many here did see them many times, we did travel the world,hang out at the hotels, met all those great people.
I did feel part of the tour.
