I like that you are keeping track of this, it might be useful data down the line. But sorry to be picky, "UK including Scotland..." huh, is this just ignorance? The UK consists of England, Scotland, Wales, N Ireland. Why call it out? What is the apology for?
. I'm the last person who wants to exclude or boycott anyone. The Scots, in particular, have become very dear to me as a people, more so than many of my fellow Germans.Quote

The information in bold is fairly reliable; it's mostly all documented in this thread.

I think it would be nice if there was a place where you could hear this song lol!

Of course, not for all 200 countries; I was referring to the countries in the table in the "Shop Numbers by Country" column. For example, Austria, Poland, Japan, Canada...

Looking back, the marketing has worked.
Not really. 99,999% have no clue whatsoever that The Rolling Stones have actually released a new single, and even if they read about it somewhere they don't care cause they can't even hear it. This marketing campaign only intrigued hardcore super fans, no one else would spend their time figuring out..

Whot ? ... I'm not apologizing for anything.
With a "wink", I simply meant that some Scots find it "difficult" to be considered part of the UK. I'm the last person who wants to exclude or boycott anyone. The Scots, in particular, have become very dear to me as a people, more so than many of my fellow Germans.
The reason I didn't mention Wales or Northern Ireland is simply that there are currently NO reports on sales of the single in Wales or Northern Ireland. There is a post from Glasgow in Scotland, but I don't know how many copies were sold there. Thats the only reason Scotland is counted and Wales & Northern Ireland not !

Here's the updated table following the recent feedback; special thanks to SomethingB.B. for the French data.

The Stones aren't the only major artist with a new studio album in July 2026 - Madonna will also release their new studio album 'Confessions II' on 03-Jul-2026 - [SuperDeluxeEdition.com] .

Exactly as intended ... how many of the 99.999% actually cared when Living in a Ghost Town came out. At least this caused a much bigger stir amongst the hardcores than that did. Even after it's all over, people still can't stop talking about it!
Again, it was brilliant, got the job done - and again, as a bonus, we got a great tune!

I could care less about the cockroaches vinyl that is unobtainable. Everyday they don’t release a proper single/music video is a huge disappointment. Been looking forward to the new record for a year and I just feel bored and disappointed at this point. If this is supposed to be the beginning of the marketing campaign for the new album, they should really fire their marketing team because this shit is boring. Especially compared to the very exciting Hackney Diamonds launch.

Tiny outlay for posters and cheap web design - mass attention. Mission accomplished.

What other Stones vinyl fetches around $2,000? That's crazy.
