Yesterday, I visited four record shops in Porto. Three owners had no idea about the release. One gave me a wink and said he knew it was coming, but they had not secured a copy (apparently, they have no direct contact with UMG). It seems the single was not supplied to Portugal. At least Louie Louie (two independent stores in Porto and Lisbon) and Tubitek (multiple stores across the country) were definitely not aware of it.Quote

To be clear I never expected to have the record. I did expect to be able to buy a download though. I collect only what is reasonable and without trouble attached.

Thank you! The best phone recorded version (in stereo) for now!
He does seem in the know and I like his postings though.Quote

Here you can really hear Andrew Watt's production, powerful and upfront, with Steve Jordan's driving drums pushing forward, and the ending is identical to that of Sweet Sounds of Heaven.
A great track to open the new album, it picks up right where Hackney Diamonds with Rolling Stone Blues left off, but with the full band now—an excellent choice.

The vinyl Cockroaches thing is just a funny extra, I am surprised some people take it so seriously and even went all out trying to get one. I don't think anyone should feel entitled to have one.
There are now a number of places where you can listen to the song online, and that's good enough. It's a nice, dirty bluesy song, which is nice. Even nicer that apparantly it will be on the album too. Maybe this album will be more rough and unpolished, which I would applaud very much.
You don’t think anyone should feel entitled to have one of those vinyls? For whom was this huge marketing campaign then if not for the fans?
Maybe your browser (e.g. Firefox) blocks the download for security reasons.Quote

Maybe we have different definitions of the word "entitled". The whole thing was meant as a joke, to draw some attention. Sooner or later, the song will be published officially. Just sit back and wait. And meanwhile listen to the versions on internet.
It's rather silly to think we "deserve" a copy of just a little gimmick to draw attention. Really, the fans can just be happy that there's something out there that soon will be published officially. No need to whine about it.
