Meanwhile I start getting less excited about it. To be honest, I'm not sure if it's going to keep the thing up till July. It feels more disapointing than exciting. At least for me and may be some others having no chance to listen to the track in higher quality than it apears till now.
What are you writing, are fans selling these CDs for $1,000 on eBay in such numbers?Quote

Of course you can't please everybody but in my opinion this promotone media press campaign was fun and a success.
This made some happy Rolling Stones fans owning a new vinyl collector.
And in the end everybody will be able to access the music when released in a few months.

Some of the comments I’m seeing online are interesting - people feeling as though they’ve been shafted, or that the band are “mistreating” loyal fans. From my perspective, it was a limited release with a fun marketing campaign behind it. Some people would be lucky enough to get a copy, some wouldn’t, and that’s all part and parcel of the limited release. You can’t always get what you want, and all that…

Some record stores in major cities across the world had just 4-6 copies of The Cockroaches white label single on sale. The records were distributed with "SOLD OUT" posters.
Denmark had may be 25-50 copies in total shared among the five stores there, the only country in the Nordic region having the single.
I think it is abose of loyal fans to have them travel for hours, and queue for hours, just to find out the records are already on sale on eBay at $500 - $1500.
