I suppose having a Cockroaches release today and any sort of Rolling Stones album announcement at the same time was possibly 'too much' information overload.

Seems a bit simplistic (and self-defeating), especially once the time came and went.

Onward. New song, reason to celebrate. It's decent. Vibe is better than the songcraft. People are saying ZZ Top, John Lee Hooker ... It doesn't quite sound like Love is Strong, but it rings similarly to me. Mid-tempo blues, muscular, never really takes off and the lyrics are color by numbers (not as bad Love is Strong). Not much of a shower, could be a grower.

While I'm a huge stones fan I'm not just going to come on here and say everything is great! The song's okay. Kind of reminds me of doom and gloom. Maybe after a few more listens I'll change my mind. Still looking forward to the new album.
