For those who've been fortunate enough to hear this track, how's the production? Does it have the glitzy, sheen of Hackney Diamonds, or it more akin to what Don Was achieved with their sound? If it's a bluesy-type track, I would hope it sounds appropriately raw!

I would say it is definitely very bluesy. Not as glossy or poppy sounding as Hackney Diamonds but definitely a bigger and more modern sound than the Don Was stuff, especially with the drums. If Andrew Watt produced Blue and Lonesome this would probably be the result, still raw but with a modern edge. Lots of harp and slide guitar throughout, very "rambunctious" indeed!

@Irix - thanks, finally figured it out, they're not answering the phone ;-)

Listened to the IG snippet, sounds like a Blue and Lonesome outtake merged with Angry (the "posh" chords in the bridge), well at least they tried something "different". It .doesn't sound like any of the snippets shared by Mick. Let's hope the fabulous one from 2019 makes it on the album!

You are correct. The Japanese shop leaves the Euro price tag stuck on the vinyl wrap as the records are imported from somewhere in the EU (not UK, apparently). They attached the Japanese price tag, ¥2310, underneath.

The sticker on the bottom right says, “Please limit your purchase to one item per person.”

In Tokyo, it is (more likely now, ‘was’) sold at HMV Shibuya and Shinjuku. Don’t know about other locations in Japan.

I went to the store 15 minutes after opening, it was not crowded. But.. they said they only received 2 copies.. and they were sold out because people were there before opening.. oops!!

Legged it to Action records and they’d sold out. 10 copies 1 pperseron hoover, the shop man told me one customer went out, put on a disguise and came back in to buy another. Shop owner was fuming as only realised once he’d bought the second copy.

Are there any stream anywhere up yet so 8 can have a listen?

Happy Valley Shop in Melbourne had 5 copies - one per person.
Myself and one other waiting to buy when opened at 10am.
