What time are we expecting an update to the site today?

At least not at 08:00 UTC since there were no updates made in the website source codes yet (there's a timestamp).

It's not running on a timer anyway. Site is running

fetch("/state")

So it's waiting for someone on the backend to flip a switch and reveal the dormant asset (what's labeled as 'poster') but it's not on a specific clock, even if there is a schedule, so could really come at any time.

" Rough and Twisted, available as a vinyl-only “white label” release from April 11, is classic Stones: a killer riff, a rambunctious harmonica solo from Mick Jagger..." (from the article; I don't believe an excerpt violates BV's policy)
And not their last studio album. 10 songs in the "bag" for whatever comes next.

Sounds good and the description reminds me of that snippet Mick shared in 2019 (I think) where he was playing a mean harmonica in his living room and that had everyone excited!

Exactly my thoughts too. Maybe THIS is rough and twisted? [www.instagram.com]

That sounds good indeed but the one I had in mind was this older one [www.youtube.com]

The roundsquare dormant asset might pop up on the left side of the bed. But WHEN?

Maybe a new "Start Me up" - in the sense of being too retro and that's why not making the albums earlier, but turning out to be a killer single?

In terms of the riff, I seem to recall that "Angry" was also regarded by some as a new "Start Me Up" when it was first released. Guess we'll soon see if "Rough & Twisted" has similar vibes.

I'm gonna be in Camden, north London, anyway tomorrow lunchtime. I can't see the band playing but white label copies of the single are going on sale at a pop-up in Broadwick St, Soho.

A white label record has just appeared on the TheCockroaches.com holding page.

The reason for the latter is that Third Man are also taking orders for a white label copy of the new McCartney album when it is released on May 29.

At a pinch we might get Mick announcing the new single and album release somewhere in town too but I reckon that's a long shot. It would generate the required publicity though.

You can flip this over and then you’ll see the coordinates of the record shop closest to you, where you can probably pick up the single.

the coordinates are based on location. When youre in the netherlands you see different coordinates as someone in the uk

The flip side of the record shows coordinates for 12 places. The first of those is Aberdeen, my home town.

- Aberdeen
- Glasgow
- Preston
- Leeds
- Coventry
- Cheltenham
- Twickenham
- Letchworth
- Soho, London
- Bristol
- Whitstable
- Brighton

Must mean something or just more random noise?

Maybe it's related to the vinyl sale? The London location is situated very close to the Sounds of the Universe record store.

Will this be a standalone release? Cockroaches 45 with no B-side. Part of the hype campaign.

Or is it the lead single for the new Stones album (released under the Cockroaches monicker) to be released in July?
