We in BC look with relish at the day when we'll have a shiny new international border! As for poutine, you sir should have learned by now not to mess with the curds.[/quote]

As long as you don't gain one border but lose another.smiling smiley As for the curds i have been tempted on occasion but have managed to stay away so far. Too much sludge for these old vessels.

Uncut magazine got it right; vol2 is going places. It could be a sign that the band has more to offer to more people.

A show in DC was added on September the 17th at the Lincoln theater. It sold out in minutes and I was not able to get a ticket. When I logged in at Ticketmaster website few minutes after the sale started, I was told there were 47000 persons in front of me... then sold out. WTF!Still no ticket for me.

I would like to see AdP in Washington DC in September at the Atlantis a small club(400 capacity). Right now no ticket at face value are available. On the Secondary Market, the prices are over $500 (I believe original prices was $45). I have never seen a situation like that. A band very quickly getting super hot, little bit of tickets available, prices to the roof.
My goal is to try to find 2 tickets for the September show at no more than $200 each. Anybody has a strategy to how to operate in that situation? Thank you.

As you can tell, the problem isn't resellers but just no tickets available. Those might not even be brokers but fans daring you to make the payoff for them to miss the show.

I know it's a whole different scale but last night Masayoshi Takanaka played a super sold out high resale value show at the Hollywood Palladium. Roll up ticketless before doors, start going down the line asking people and had a free one within 5 mins. Did not see a single other person working the line. Go to where the people with tickets are.

Now there were reports of people going ticketless to Club Soda a few weeks ago and both striking out and getting in. Bring positive energy and don't look or act desperate. Make sure every knows you are looking but be friendly, not too loud or aggressive, smile etc as to not make a poor impression on the people working the door.

But they will be back. They will just do the underplay and smaller paydays knowing they can book bigger places and people will conditioned to buy early when the stakes are higher and sellouts are not assured.

I don't know about your strategy but if I want to go I just buy a ticket and go. Running around outside trying to hustle a free or $5 ticket seems like more of a hassle than it is worth. Maybe once a year but every show? I have better things to do than that and unless its GA I want specific seats.

If you're willing to drive two hours for a festival set by them, single day Sunday September 20 tickets are still available for $122 to Richmond's Iron Blossom Festival. They made single day tix available last Friday.

I'm going Sep 20 for festival closer Jack White. Geese and Portugal The Man are also Sunday, so if this poster indicates where they are on the bill, AdP has fourth billing that day.

I had no idea who TF they are. Looked into them in the past few hours and found out.

AdP are definitely not to my tastes. The most prog I ever got was Moody Blues and Yes... and within a decade I realized Yes had aged poorly for me, my interest in their music didn't last. Never liked techno or krautrock -- can we say krautrock? -- and this math-rock in costume feels Devo meets Daft Punk with lots of microtones... and minus the fun. I also never cared for looping, sampling, electro dance... djs as "artists"...any of that. Each to their own.

When learning AdP is the rage of 2026, out of curiosity I ran down Ticketmasters' schedule for them and it indeed is astonishing that everything is totally sold out. The scalper sharks are all over those shows.

I heard a commercial few weeks ago, I think it was for potato chips, and the snippet of music in the background of the jingle, was a microtonal lick sounding very much like AdP. When your musical style is copied in commercials, you made it baby.

If someone say "microtonal" again......reminds me when people used to say "my bad" cause they thought they just wanted to fit in or be whatever..

Quarter note bends are essentionally microtonal. Next time I hear a Eric Clapton solo im going to say "did you hear that microtoal bend and the beginning of that solo". My friends would tell me to "shut the H""" up.

I am definitively happy they get successful.

They are fresh and it is also a good thing they don't please everybody.

The are THE thing of the moment to witness.

My pet peeve of the year is the lazy term "ai slop." If I never hear or see it again it will be too soon.

It’s an open forum and I have the right to say my opinion. If someone says I don’t like Undercover they have the right too. Some people say The new song is garage that’s their right within the rules and t Tell Me.

Congrats! You were given gold dust for your birthday!

In the meantime, the aliens are invading Japan. AdP will play the picturesque Fuji Rock Festival this weekend. They are slotted in ‘Field of Heaven’ (a stage mainly jam band-types are allocated to perform) on Sunday 26th, 19:00-20:10. Cap 5,000 — getting rammed guaranteed!

I'm thinking of going to the Virginia festival to see them and Jack White (and Geese). Even if they're on different stages, the stages are side by side so it's possible to see both, if you get a decent spot. I love them and am so happy for their success. smiling smiley
