Mick Taylor in the 70's was very annoying to me. His guitar tone is hiddeous and he slams through every gentle part of music with his annoying soloing.

Ronnie on the other hand, has a much more likeable tone and doesn't push his playing like Taylor does.

On records Mick Taylor sometimes did some mind-blowing stuff, but live, his playing was in my opinion horrible.

My favorite peice of guitar playing in the 70's was If You Can't Rock Me with Ron. Great stuff.

a) Mick taylor played only in the 70's
b) MT and RW cannot be compared
c) I think you may have missed MT phenomenal work on some albums that are supposed to be ultimate Stones records : Exile, Sticky, IORR

Reptile, this reminds me of some Mozart critics, who thought he had too many notes in his works.... - all those annoying notes!
