OT: RIP Neil Sedaka

A fantastic songwriter and performer. He was one of my gateways into 60s music. In later years, I came to see (Is This the Way to) Amarillo as one of the best songs ever written — brilliantly performed by both Tony Christie and Neil Sedaka. “Oh Carol” and “Laughter in the Rain” are other personal favourites. I also followed his (almost) daily social media shorts — he genuinely seemed like a kind and warm person.

An incredible songwriter with a gorgeous voice. RIP Mr. Sedaka. May your memory be for a blessing.
