Musical garbage.A better idea is viewing their muted videos .Take out the eye candy and it’s less interesting.

Excuse me. (What?)

Never thought or felt Wet Leg are eye candy AFAIC. Putting that aside…

Someone’s garbage can be someone else’s gold. Or…

Garbage is in the ears of the beholder. Sometimes.

My suggestion is, don’t take them too seriously.

Try Goat Girl’s first 2 albums, feels a little more listenable than TWLB

What does their name, the 'Wet Leg Band', mean?

I used to read the NME religiously. Now I'm utterly out of touch.

Almost like Post Malone who used a random name generator for his stage name.

If you find you don’t like Chaise Longue and Wet Dream, their two signature songs, most likely Wet Leg are not for you.

Interesting band. I've followed their meteoric rise on Instagram for a few years.

I discovered them a while ago and I realy like them, when they play their music live in an intimate setting.
The 3voor12 live session and the tiny desk concert are great.
Young and dynamic post punk at its best.

I understand the sex appeal - the singer not the song. The music? They sound like a hundred other bands. Can't tell the difference. Sex sells though. It always has.

Are they ‘sexy’?
Yes, there is some innuendo in their songs, but I don’t think they sell sex in the same way Madonna does for example.

The lead singer is a sexy as F*** but would be more interested in my wife than me thumbs up

Great band so far by the way.

Will be interesting to see how they go from here.

For anyone wanting to see more of Wet Leg, here’s a 10 minute video I took of them in Chicago back in Dec.

[youtu.be]

My YouTube channel @Coyotesunrise6488 also has other videos, including a couple of The Stones.

Thanks. Nice wee footage.
I have to admit, Rhian has shifted to ‘selling sex’ more unreservedly these days, which justifies Stoneage’s criticism upthread more or less. I prefer her former, presumably intentional, unsophisticated and uncool disguise that reflected the group’s DIY indie aesthetics.

BTW Wet Leg toured Japan last week (their third).

Interesting that it seems BV changed the Topic heading on the post. Not sure why?

Hey - it’s his site, I guess he can do what he wants…but kind of authoritarian.

The Editor is in charge of any headline in their publication. Your headline was too many words. Basically you wanted to talk about «wet leg». So Off Topic posts about other bands are usually named just the name of the band, if they are known, or some times «stuff» added, to explain it is about something. The band is not well known worldwide, so I added «band» to the headline. controversial? No. Authorstive? No.

I sm the Editor of IORR. If a title is more talking than just a short spot on headline, it may be changed, to make iorr more readable.

To call me «authorative» is disrespectful, to say the least. I am just doing my unpaid job on an off topic post, which is waste of time for me, still important to keep IORR readable.

Thrre are too many Off Topic posts on Iorr now, more than 50%. This band is heavily based on selling a sex appeal, not just music. IORR is a Stones site. The nature of this band makes it easy for me to close this thread. The band is in no way Stones related. They are using sex to get attention. Pole dancing or other female disrespectful talks or action have no space on iorr, and like i said, too much off topic here now.
