Ronnie plus Van Morrison at Burg Clam in Austria is not sold out either, tickets are EUR 170 seated and EUR 110 standing. The event is now billed as "Van Morrison, Ronnie Wood & His Band, John Lee Hooker Jr.". It appears as if Van Morrison was upgraded from special guest to headliner(?).

I believe he was a co-headliner from the start. I expect a 30-40 minutes opening set, than 90-90 minutes seta from Van and Ronnie, maybe with a few songs played together.

It's always the same artists that Ronnie plays with, i find them boring, pitty Ronnie never grew a pair and played a show like Keith did with the Winos carrying the show throughout, too late now i know Ronnie is too old.
Another missed oppertunity since the New Barbarians was Ronnie and Keith doing some shows together. Keith comes on plays 4 or 5 songs. Then Ronnie comes on to give Keith a rest and do 4 or 5 songs, then Keith comes back on and plays 6 or 7 songs with Ronnie. It's my dream concert.
I'd pay £1000 to see those shows.

Can't imagine why Van Morrison didn't sell enough tickets. Jazz Fest New Orleans - I have yet to hear one good thing about Van Morrison - over various appearances.
Live he's horrific, apparently.

It's been a while since he played with Andy Newmark and Willie Weeks.

Nevertheless do they fill you with excitement the way someone like Steve Jordan does.

Yes. They are legends. Listen to I Got My Own Album To Do or the Kilburn live album.

Dude they are absolute legends. Andy Newmark was one of the best session guys going in the 70s, played on so many great tracks and was very versatile.
Willie Weeks is also a phenonmal session guy and one of the best bass players of all time.
Just absolutely fantastic musicians who frankly in terms of pure musicianship run rings around Ron & Keith, but the records they did together in the 70s are outstanding.

Thanks for the heads up
Ps. After a quick study he's very influential but not exactly John Entwistle, funk is not really my idea of rock but yeah he's 78, low energy.
