Ronnie Wood of The Rolling Stones will perform a rare solo show with his band, having not toured his solo work regularly outside of The Rolling Stones and guest appearances for 16 years. Wood is one of rock’s most enduring and influential musicians. As a legendary guitarist, Wood has spent decades shaping the sound of modern rock with his distinctive playing, effortless groove, and unmistakable stage presence.

Wood is a two-time inductee into the Rock’n’Roll Hall of Fame (as a member of The Rolling Stones and Faces), and a GRAMMY Award-winner.

For those about to speculate: I guess this means no summer tour and probably no autumn tour either for the Stones. The alternative no more tours at all is creeping closer.
I do wonder though about the release of the, rumoured, new album. In the spring? April?

Thanks for posting.. After what I’ve spent following the Stones around the USA these prices, even with travel, seem reasonable lol! Maybe Ronnie will finally play Breakin’ My Heart live

This special guest appearance was most likely confirmed before the Stones’ planned tour 2026 was cancelled so irrelevant to whether the group will still play a (non-tour) show this year or not. Check the “OT: Eric Clapton stuff” thread where the matter is discussed.

Naturally, I have no info, but I don't see why not. In fact, I don't see why he wouldn't be able to perform several shows, considering he's free from 'Stones activity' He loves being on stage, after all.

Ronnie should release a new studio album. I loved I Feel Like Playing, he should gather an all-star lineup like that again. And maybe it's an unpopular take, but I would prefer Bernard on backing vocals than Imelda May.

cool looks like ronnie might be touring europe in the stones place this summer

I wonder whether Ronnie is doing this in the need of money, or, if it’s entirely all for the need to be out there, performing to audiences? I suspect that it is a blend of the two, myself.

Or they may release the new album in May as repeatedly mentioned in georgelicks’ posts and start playing live in Autumn or even after that. Why not? They could do arenas, not stadiums, like 2012. Again, why not?

After all, Hackney Diamonds was released in October ‘23 and the tour started close to the end of April ‘24. Nothing new and inconceivable.
