I’d say the Stones average around one day a week; usually a Sunday within a few beers. To be honest, I only listen to music once-or twice a week these days; at least properly. I may listen to the odd song here and there throughout the week, though. As I’ve gotten older, I can’t deny that other interests have developed; mainly politics and literature. The funny thing is that despite this change, I’m still here, on Tell Me, every day!

Edit: how long could I actually go? Well, I guess it’s a week!

It used to be daily. Now it's like every fortnight or so. I'll pick a random album to listen to.

However, I listen to the Stones on YouTube or Facebook in between.

Let's do an experiment! A week on bread and water and without the Stones. I've tried time and again to wean myself off this British blues band. It's completely futile, I can't do it. One of Keith's riffs or a song passage always pops into my head.

I never listen to Stones music on purpose, except when there's a tour ready to be announced / tickets go on sale.

Not to divert too much from the topic of the thread, but am I alone in subconsciously drifting away from a love of music. What was once almost an obsession; a hobby, is now something so incredibly casual. I don't purchase, or download music, and I certainly don't attend concerts anymore. I still love the Stones - I wouldn't be here otherwise - but outside of IORR and my Sunday afternoon on Spotify, I barely even think about music. It's sad in a way, but a reality.

somethings I don't listen to Stones for a couple of month. I don't do it on purpose. It just happens.

I went about 10 years!

This was after listening them almost exclusively for about 10 years ('78 thru '87). Not completely but from 1987 through 1997, I only listened when they had their new albums at those times (Steel Wheels & Voodoo Lounge) - as that's when I spent most of my time getting into other bands - including grunge.

I think I joined on here sometime after Bridges To Bablylon came out, and then chatting about the Stones brought back the fire!

I run hot and cold……..stay away and then do deep dives. Future dives include revisiting from first studio release thru Satanic(US and UK’s) and most likely Zip Code tour.

It would be cool if we did album targeted album listenings and opinions on occasion, it would force me….

I have so much music and go to so many shows that it could go months but when I listen I find I listen a lot. I only listen to live recordings and usually its full shows.

No idea.

Never concerned me.

It could be months.

A day week or months without Paint It Black, SFTD and quite a few others is a great time.

That's excactly how I would describe myself too. I have one designated night per week where I listen to music on full blast and always finish with a Stones show on DVD (quite often B2B in BA, THAT show IS a MASTERPIECE) with headphones on and with myself playing along on the guitar, but for the remaining 6 days I hardly listen to anything. Between around 1990 to around 2020 I listened to The Stones every single day. Guess one's getting old...

Charlie´s death really impacted my enjoyment of the stones in general. I could go for months without listening to them. That never happened before. I guess it still makes me sad.

There's no logic to how I listen to the Stones or anyone else except when I want to. It's not often. I like silence.

New album gets played a lot for quite some time or played more than older ones I specifically like to listen to.

When I drive to work etc I listen to talk radio - usually - or a specific New Orleans music station if the talk radio is about something I don't care for.

Maybe two or three times a month I'll listen to a classic rock station and it never seems to change, except for the time of day and what's played day vs night, which contributes to why I can't listen to SFTD and a few others anymore.

Sometimes I'll pull an album out just to read it.

It could be months between actually pulling out a Stones album to listen to; however, when I do, it kick starts a week or two of revisiting many albums!

That being said, their tracks come up far more often - I'll listen to a few, or watch some of their wealth of live DVD's. And of course I check this forum almost every day, just to see what's new and have a read of some discussions.

I'm as much of a superfan though now as I was 30 years ago when first discovering them. I know the albums so well, that's why it may be weeks, even months, between full album listenings. But I think about them every day - whether visiting this forum, putting on some tracks on YouTube..etc.

Right now it just so happens I'm in the middle of one of those revisits, kick started by Keith's 'Crosseyed Heart' I pulled out last week. Listened the hell out of it, first time in a number of years, and it is such a good album. Now moved to 'Black and Blue' and 'Tattoo Two' (comp of the bonus tracks from the various deluxe editions over the last 15 years or so). Next up, 'Sucking in the 70s'!

It’s been a while since I’ve heard one. Months, maybe?
