Years ago I spent one hour alone with a (Euro-)billionaire, one of the richest men in my country. After we had talked for an hour I was sure I would not want to change with him. It's kind of a disease, it is like you eat much too much all the time. He did not seem happier than me.

Of course, I a middle class but we do not have any financial problems. I can live comfortably as in some respects I do not need much (no expensive clothes, no big car), and the other things I can afford. Being poor is as bad as being super-rich. Therefore I want all the people to live comfortably.

Class is interesting. I always considered myself middle-class; that was, until, I would meet the 'real middle-classes' on daily basis. Now, more accurately, I would describe myself as 'lower middle-class'

Rich and famous? Haven't read through this thread but.... Hmm... As I've said many times to folks (including family and friends), if I came into money through this or that, I'd be long gone. You could contact me through my post office box, which I'd visit every few months, which would be a hundred miles or so from where I hung my hat, sending you holiday greetings from the same at the appropriate times. I'd support various charities and causes, but that'd be another post office box address as my beat. Riches would be set up to keep a good lifestyle which, as I've always maintained, is taking care of the family, having a roof over your head and food to eat. A simple view, I guess, but we don't need much more than this brothers and sisters. As for fame, it can come and go.
