Maybe we should all just leave the guy alone. Learn to live without him. And them.

I'm looking at these recent posts from a retired counselor's perspective. And what I am interpreting from these many posts, I would describe as a mass grieving process from Stones fans all over the world who are coming to grips with the reality that there may not be a Rolling Stones performing group in their future. These guys have given so much of themselves for over 60 years. That is quite an accomplishment. And I agree with your post above. We may have to learn to live without Jagger and/or the Stones. The good news is, fans will always have their recorded legacy to enjoy.

i agree and accept that it's likely over and if it's not over now it will be very very soon and the chances of them performing in 2027 and beyond are nonexistent

but grieving sounds a bit dramatic at this point what with a new album on the way and rumors of possible (but yes unlikely) shows this year

and yes i hold out a small amount of hope that those rumored shows will happen this year but i'm not exactly gonna be surprised if they don't

just like i'm not gonna be surprised if mick doesn't tour on his own in the next year or two but i hold out some hope that he will

and to answer the question of why i would think that when he hasn't since 1988

it's because he's had the stones to tour with if he wanted to tour since 1989 and they draw a bigger crowd and mean more money

but if that's over now as it seems to be and he wants to tour and feels he can still do it he just might even if it's more likely he dosen't

Mick? He’ll stay close to his wife and take care of his son, who’ll soon be starting middle school in the town of Amboise. He’ll sometimes walk four laps around the garden when his big toe finally gives him a break. Then he’ll take the Eurostar to see Elton John for one of his great-grandchildren’s communion.

In the spring? He’ll head off to Bermuda, where the air is better for his joints. He likes playing Scrabble there while eating industrial liver mousse that reminds him of Dartford.
