Those that have followed the band since decades know that writing an autobiography is the last item on Jagger's bucket list. He is not a fan of rock and roll biographies. Not even his own. And he doesn't need the money.
To think that he, aged 83, will produce and release a new solo album and then tour with a new band is a bit...positive thinking.

A tour do take time to prepare, both with The Stones and solo. I assume he has focus on his band, the Stones, until Keith call it quits.

Maybe no tour - but some occasional appearances with a different band (like he already did with U2, Foo Fighters, Arcade Fire) could be feasible. Of course after the Stones. But they'll probably play Stones-songs because they're most well-known.

You mean the odd guest appearance here and there? Sure. He can do that. Not much work and planning involved there. But I see Ronnie more like that kind of guy. What I can see him doing is things like he did with Dave Grohl.
Collaborations on the net from his home studio. One sure thing is that Jagger always wants to keep busy with something. It wasn't for nothing he did "Let's Work"...

Re his autobiography, the publisher wanted something salacious, and the material didn't deliver. Mick had to give the advance back and it was never published.

Maybe a solution could be that a team of authors write this autobiography based on historical articles, contemporary witness & facts and they would consult Mick only when uncertainties arise. Mick wouldn't have to sit down for 18 months and completely relive his life.

it might be an interessing read if he was to focus on lesser or unknown and unpopular aspects.
Suggestion for a title: 'It's not only Rock 'n Roll. Economic aspects of the Rolling Stones. Or: How to overtake and run a notorious band of drunkards and drug addicts successfully and getting rich by doing so.'

That's what I really like to read about.

You don't think Mick isn't the reason for the rehearsal schedule? I seriously doubt that. Steve Jordan, Bernard Fowler and Karl Denson are not the ones requiring weeks of rehearsals.

Mick does his job 3 months in advance before any rehearsals - practicing singing, dancing and fitness. Keith doesn't usually touch the guitar until rehearsals, that's what he said multiple times. So yeah, big part of the rehearsal is to get the rhythm section tight again. Mick's already ready when reheasals start.

Mick Jagger will probably be present in some ways during the next years, yet I do not expect an ambitious soloalbum or even a tour anymore. Mick Jagger seems to enjoy the cheers of the huge crowd when a famous song starts. That is why the Stones rely on warhorses so much. I saw Charlie Watts with the A,B,C & D of Boogie Woogie in a theatre. The man just wanted to play. Jagger never did something comparable. He has a good voice, he could have sung Jazz or Chanson in small clubs. That obviously did not interest him. Instead he performed "Satisfaction" with Taylor Swift.
