He’s 82, she’s 38, and she’s the one who’s retired?

Ballet dancers usually retires between age 35-41. I most cases, these days, they need to support themselves with other jobs after that. So they retire from dancing but not from the labor market.
There are exceptions though like the Paris Opera where ballet dancers actually retires at 42.

No sarcasm. Mick will have to tour as Mick Jagger if he wants to tour seeing as Keith doesn't want to tour with Mick.
Of course it won't be the Stones.

In Let's Spend the Night Together you see that they already toured as Mick Jagger and the Rolling Stones in the early 80s.

To join tour is a joint decision. Both had their demands, and these could not be fulfilled.

Who knows, maybe Keith was ready to tour early last year, Mick called it off because of logistics or whatever, so then Keith calls it off later in the year when Mick was ready.
You know, you call it off, I'll call it off.
I think we were all surprised Mick used logistics as an excuse, it's not like time was on their side. They could have done other shows, it didn't have to be a stadium tour.

Now it's over as far as the Stones are gonna tour, we should be happy if Ronnie, Mick or Keith do some solo shows, it's about time.

I really doubt this is something Mick would be allowed to do under the Stones name, there will be no "Keith replacement"

This is not true. His name is indeed shown on the Stadium screen but not as "Mick Jagger and The Rolling Stones". It's not advertised as such on any 1981 tour poster. Probably Mick wasn't even aware on what was shown on the screen.

Figuratively speaking if Mick goes on a solo tour with Andrew Watt he's replaced Keith.

It's the obvious choice because Andrew pretty much replaced Keith on HD.

So yeah it could happen but as I've said it could not be billed as the Stones.

Re: Mick Jagger sightings 2026

What source says Mick is going to tour with others and more importantly what source says Keith doesn't want to tour with Mick anymore?

Even the spokesperson for the band has made an announcement that they will be back on the road in the future.

Andrew Watt is only credited on guitar for 'Depending On You' and 'Mess It Up' beside Keith - [Music.Apple.com] , [en.Wikipedia.org] . That's not a replacement.

We're just riffing because people are saying Mick's tour ready.

Keith has said no to a tour with Mick this year so the only way Mick tours is with another guitarist.

This is not going to happen. Why would he even want to tour? If I was his age, and with a younger wife and child, I’d blooming well want to be retired! Some things are far more important!

If that were the case they would have retired at 65.

Ronnie is playing lots this year, no reason to think Mick and Keith might not do some shows too.

Keith played with the Winos last November, Mick might want to keep performing so he's able to play with the Stones if they tour next year.
At their age if you stop you get past the point of return, especially for the singer.

Look at Rod Stewart, 81 and still singing better than in decades on this current tour.

Apart from a few Keith tracks it sounds like a Jagger/ Watt influenced album, sounds like a good Jagger solo album to my ears with Keith and Ronnie playing on it.

This has been discussed on the album thread, I'm not going to get drawn into it on a Mick sightings thread.

Ivan Neville is there too so we got 3 from the Winos. Waddy is of course missing as is Charley Drayton (who wasn't present in 2022 either.

Bobby Keys, Sarah Dash and Babi Floyd are no longer with us.

The Winos is whoever Keith Richards pulls together.

Apart from that - the idea that Keith Richards will do anything solo when he is not ready to play with the Stones is absurd.

Also this thread is about Mick Jagger, his sightings and his permanent state of tour-readyness, so let’s get back to topic!

Why are you insisting the thought of Keith doing anything solo is absurd when he did just that in November.

How do you know he didn't want to tour with Mick so he can do some low key solo work that is local to him, maybe he wants to record or play in New York, i don't see that as absurd, Keith's always said he'll play to the very end.
