Where did this excellent recording suddenly come from? It's the day after the pay-per-view show that we've all known about for decades and that was officially released. But maybe I missed something there.

That's one of the multitrack recordings that surfaced on Wolfgangs Vault (Bill Graham Archive) over 10 years ago.

It possibly sounds like the very end of LSTNT from this show was edited onto the end of the 12-18 recording that's on the live album, which Charlie kept going.

Good catch! And Imagination is from this show.

I've been asking and searching for this for quite some time. It's an edit that's not credited, which, giving that it's the very end of the song, whatever, but, ha ha, it sure sounds like it's from this show.

I got ROUNDHAY on Google Music - which didn't last long - and picked it up on vinyl recently. I don't recall getting it on CD.

Listening to it makes me wonder - why did they insist on making STILL LIFE before the tour was completely over? Was it because they realized they'd sound the same in 1982, which is miles above 1975-76 for Mick Jagger, so screw it, put something out in 1982 because, even though they were touring TATTOOO YOU in Europe, it was dead... so somehow a live album, that only has one track from the new album...

Kinda strange.

This is the Pay-Per-View-performance, that was officially released few years ago. Here we are talking about the performance 24 hours later.

Because it those days it was common to have an album out to promote a tour in Europe. In 76 they had B&B, in 73 they had GHS and in 70 they had GYYYO. The concept of two year multicontinental tours was not common yet. Touring America and touring Europe were two different things. Since they did not have a new album Still Life was pretty good promo for the tour. Kinda: "Hey, listen to 40 minutes of the show and if you liked it, come and see the rest".

Check out the time differences between the two shows and on tunes like Imagination. I was at both shows (among the best I've attended). They really stretch it out on the 18th and they seemed a bit like they wanted to finish on the 19th and leave town for Christmas.

My photos from the 19th are posted near the bottom of page 58 of the 1981-82 Wardrobe thread.

Thank you Mathijs. A valued compliment coming from you. I have more photos from 1981 earlier in that thread - Philadelphia, MSG, Wash DC. What a great tour.

Those were some of my favorite shows as well. I can hear myself yelling on the Hampton bootleg.

I think it is from this 2013 no label release because of the short time listed for Just My Imagination.

I do not have the cds. But consider what the poster says about what and why he edited Imagination for this posting.
