As a couple of other people have posted . Europeans will be in the USA next year for the World Cup . So why not a U.S. tour?

Except they are not touring. Wishing harder ain't gonna make it happen.

Also, relatively speaking, they "just" toured. Once upon a time 3 years was an eternity, now it's a different leg of the same tour targeting the same wallets. Last time most venues were 75% full with heavy discounts leading up to showtime. This time there is a possible bleak economic forecast on top if you are seeking large up front guarantees from interested parties who already fronted for a full summer slate. Those are the conditions they would face booking a tour.

But really there are no factors preventing a tour. Someone decided they aren't spending the summer living in hotel rooms and that's that.

Why then is AC/DC continuing its tour, which began in 2024 in the US and South America, next year?

I am sure someone on an AC/DC board can answer that

My take is different. I am thrilled and satisfied with all tbe shows I saw since 1972 in the US and Europe. Buenos Aires would have been great to see though.

But I will miss the excuses to see Bjornulf. Lunch once, stadiums twice. Maybe some day I can get to Asker. I can’t imagine the Stones shows without all the help from BV.

There are younger users here... myself included. Luckily I was able to see them when Charlie was still alive. Everyone's circumstances are different. Stones tickets were in general quite expensive except LD.

Geez, after thinking more on the subject I'm feeling more sad although I know I can't blame them if it's true. What an adventure it's been. As some have already pointed out meeting other fans (being really important) and having a celebration of what we love. I guess there's other things to focus on in life but this was always a favorite, maybe more than it should be. Anyhow, I sincerely wish Mick, Keef and Ronnie a great rest of life. Hopefully they'll go in the studio occasionally and hammer something out.

Yes. Even if they‘re really not gonna do those huge tours anymore they still got an unreleased album. And they‘re gonna do something to promote it.

The short glimmer of hope here is, maybe, that when they release the new album there will be space for a short promo gig...and if that goes well maybe something more?
You don't need to tour a continent to do a couple of live concerts you know...

Thank you to The Rolling Stones for making almost impossible events possible.

Yes. Along with a few other disincentives that we can't mention here, there may be a few empty stadiums at the WC games in USA.

I'm sure Canada and Mexico will be fine though....

I was 13 years old in 1972 when I heard Tumbling Dice on the radio. I bought the 45 complete with tongue logo die cut sleeve. The first LP I purchased was Goats Head Soup. I continued to buy LPs as they were released. I became a fan. One day, I found a copy of Get Off Of My Cloud 45 with picture sleeve at a flea market. I thought maybe I should start collecting. I became a collector. My first Stones show was during the 1981 tour, the last “pure” Stones tour as I like to call it. I’ve not always been able to see the band but have managed to see 8 shows. I’ve taken my wife and both of my daughters. It’s been a lifelong love for a band that has given me so much happiness and memories. Whether they ever perform or record another note, I have my vinyl, CDs, cassettes, and DVDs to enjoy. I have my collection to look at and enjoy. In about 10 years I’ll have to start selling it all off because I don’t want my daughters to have to deal with it. Even then, I can still stream and maybe I’ll hang on to the CDs a little longer. The Rolling Stones will never go away from me. They will always be part of my life. Thank you, Mick, Keith, Brian, Stu, Bill, Charlie, Mick T, Ron, Daryl, Steve, Chuck, Bobby, Bernard, Lisa, Chanel, Matt, for the music. Thanks to Steve, Doug, and Bjornulf for bringing us all together. Thanks to the countless new friends I’ve made not only online but in real life. May the music never end.

Many here are too hasty, scrambling to jump on the ‘Goodbye Stones’ wagon.

To end their glorious career without touring the U.K./Europe behind not only Hackney Diamonds but also the forthcoming new album would be too anticlimactic a way to draw the curtain.

I’ve already started dreaming Knebworth concerts over two weekends like Led Zeppelin did in 1979. Or whereverdrinking smiley

Munich 1982 was my first show and Waldbühne Berlin 2022 my last, which is a fantastic ending for me. In between I had many incredible highlights during European Tours: Best moments of my life!!

THANK YOU ROLLING STONES

I believe they will do some kind of "live appearances" once in a while, but I doubt I'll have the chance to attend.Well I can live with it, being thankful and reminiscing my great memories... still I'm a little sad.

Georgelicks posted in the now closed 2026 Tour thread that "- Mick has been seen walking much more slowly in his most recent appearances, and there was talk of complications with his leg 2 or 3 years ago. Does he want to, or can he, stand, walk, or run for almost 2 hours without further serious injury?"

Does anyone know where that was ? He seemed rather sprightly at the Palace when Charles III hosted Macron, no ? And wasn't there another event recently where he was his usual self ? Now that doesn't mean he could run around the stage like in 2024 but still...

I saw a video like that too. I’ll try to remember where it was but no promises. He was walking like an old man. It didn’t strike me as extraordinary because he is an old man. Here he is from just a few days ago looking great. There probably isn’t a single weak link here. Something could happen to any one of them, and that would be tragic. They’re out and about living life. I’m happy for them. I should be so lucky at 82.

I totally agree I’m sure they will tour again the question is when. Time will tell. I’m not one to save concert stubs but I see I still have the Buffalo 81 stub. Which was my very first concert with Journey opening. In those days stubs were colourful. A collectors item.

Was the video where Mick seemed not to be walking at his best at his 80th birthday party at a club?

Josh, who is that woman sitting to Mick's right?

Of course, I'm crushed that they are apparently done, at least with tours. I have come to know people here and in other fan communities, with ups and downs as in any relationships. I plan to write individual emails to some of you to reinforce good spirits, hoping to carry on communication, even if we don't meet f2f again. Feel free to do the same. ::sniff::

To the band, yes, you changed my life, with the music I can't get enough of, and the charismatic performances of the singing, dancing, playing, and talking. Many, many thanks.

I don’t like getting old. I don’t like the wrinkles, the arthritis or the slowing down. But I wouldn’t change the year of my birth for anything. I have long felt extraordinarily lucky to be born when I was because of the music of my youth. Growing up in the United States, we had the British Invasion (Beatles, Stones, Cream and the list goes on and on and on), Motown (another long list of musical greats) and the blossoming music scene in California (rock, folk, psychedelic and yet another long list of incredible artists). It was a time of musical innovation and it was exciting. From the first time I heard a Stones’ song, the Stones were my favorite band and they significantly influenced my musical tastes and introduced me to the Blues.

I first saw the Stones in 1972 at the Spectrum in Philadelphia. I was 15 and didn’t have much money. The Spectrum was a smaller indoor arena and the opening act was Stevie Wonder, so it was impossible for a kid like me to get a ticket. But the Stones and me were meant to be. I won a ticket on the radio. My mom drove me to the concert. It was magical.

I went to one concert per North American tour when I was young. I didn’t have money to go to more than one and I had no money or ability to travel for concerts. Getting tickets was really difficult and I often had to go the scalper route. By the time of Steel Wheels, I was making enough money to go to multiple concerts in different cities. And I started doing just that. From Philly it was a short drive to D.C., NYC/NJ, even Connecticut. Flying to LA was also doable. I even managed Munich for Urban Jungle. None of my friends were big Stones fans. They all thought I was crazy. I went to see them in Europe again and then, after moving to the West Coast, going to concerts in San Diego, LA, Phoenix, Las Vegas, San Francisco, Fresno, flying back to Philly too, and later also to Mexico. It’s been a helluva ride, and so wonderful to make so many Stones friends along the way.

And while I have gotten old, when I’m at a Stones concert, I do not feel old. I feel like a teenager again and I dance the whole time. Stones music makes me feel good physically and mentally. The Rolling Stones are the GOAT of rock and roll.

Every tour for the last decade and more, I have wondered, will this be the last tour? And every time, the answer was no! They kept on touring. I don’t think anyone ever believed they’d still be touring in 2024. We’ve come to expect another tour, year after year. Does the cancellation of the 2026 tour mean they won’t tour again? Maybe. But we can’t be sad about that because we’ve been blessed to have had them tour for as long as they have. I am grateful for every Stones concert I have had the good fortune to attend. It is great to be a Stones fan. We are the luckiest fans in the world.
