The Rolling Stones Final Bows - A Touring Tribute
Posted by: bv ()
Date: December 14, 2025 10:05

It is not all over yet, but the 2025 tour was off, and the 2026 tour seems to be off too, so it will be hard to make another tour.

Time waits for no one. The Rolling Stones performed their first ever show July 12, 1962. Then after that, an estimated number of 2,500 or so shows all over the world. The below pictures are to celebrate The Rolling Stones Live. It seems like the Europe 2026 Summer tour will not happen, just like the same happened with the planned 2025 tour.

This is my tribute to the greatest band in the world - The Rolling Stones.

Feel free to post your own comments, memories and tributes here.

The Rolling Stones are my way of life. When I was twelve, my father gave me an album with a matchstick on the cover, Flashpoint, and I was instantly hooked. A few years later, he took me to my first concert in Rotterdam in 2003. I had just turned fifteen.

Since then, I have seen them live 21 times all across Europe and at three shows in the United States. Along the way, I’ve made many new Stones friends and built relationships that mean the world to me. The band has given me so much. Not just the music, but so much more than that.

I hope they will take the stage again one day. But if they don’t, I am deeply grateful for the countless memories they’ve given me. The Stones are a way of life for me and they always will be. Stones forever.

If this is it, The End of Stones touring, it has been a fantastic run . So many great times to thank the Stones and their team; shared with friends and family.

Branson the last show?. …… if it is then it was a great one for those of us lucky enough to be there . We all missed their first show!!

Maybe not the end of the world but the end of the world we've gotten used to.

If it ends this way it's really a pity. I mean: without a final/farewell tour/show.
I can't help it but I get the feeling they missed the point or opportunity to say good-bye with grace and dignity.

I am so sad right now as, having moved to Europe from the US two years ago, I was so hoping to see the Stones tour in Europe while living here and get to follow them around! But if it is not to be, so be it. I will be grateful for the rest of my life (and the next one!) for all the wonderful shows (approximately 90) that I have been to, the amazing friends I have made along the way, the places I would never have visited had it not been for the Rolling Stones. Knebworth, 1976, was my first and Levi Stadium 2024 my last. What a ride! Nothing in my life apart from my family has made me so happy. So - I am so so gratful to the Band and send everyone in the band and in the fan base my love, light and thanks for an absolutely incredible ride. If any of you play anywhere in the future - I'll be there...and a special thanks to BV. This Board has been my inspiration since I joined around 1998. Long live the Rolling Stones!

I got hooked in 1999 when The Bridges to Babylon DVD came out. I had never seen anything like it. It wasn’t just a concert — it felt bigger than that. Dark, massive, confident. From that point on, the Rolling Stones became a huge part of my life.

Since then it’s been 45 concerts. Countless hours talking Stones with other fans — people who instantly get it. Books, DVDs, LPs, setlists, memories. This band has been a constant in the background of everything.

My most visited website ever is iorr.org. I’ve checked it at least a couple of times a day since around the turn of the millennium. News, rumors, tour talk, anticipation. It’s been part of my daily routine for decades.

Sometimes it’s hard to believe how many years of pure fun this band has given me. And honestly, the extra run from 2012 and onwards has felt like a bonus. Time we didn’t really expect, but got anyway — and you’re just thankful for it.

I hope they keep being creative in some form, whatever that looks like. But of course I know this can’t last forever. And that’s okay.

Because the legacy is already there.
It lives in the music, in the memories, and in all of us who followed them for so long.

And that doesn’t end.

They hooked me in ‘98. 10 times I saw them. Last time in Belgium on the night of their 60th.

I’ll love this band forever.

I will hold myself before I say the last goodbye. If the tour cancellation is NOT health related, there are other possibilites. For instance:

1) They decided to postpone album release a few months and the tour as well.
2) They decided to change the strategy for logistics/financial reasons and maybe book residences in certain cities (London, Berlin etc.) instead of tour. Many artists has been doing this in recent years, even much younger (see Radiohead).

So we'll see. I've read "this is it" post many times here between 2007 and 2012 and also after Charlie died in 2021. But against all odds they kept going. It's true that time waits for no one, but as long they are alive and kicking there is still a chance that the last time is still ahead.

Gutted but thankful for the good times.
I think human behaviour peaked at U Arena Paris 2017 in the form of Mick Jagger.
Between 1995 and 2002 they never let me/us down.
Imperfect loose/tight perfection
The outro of Tumbling Dice probably my favourite part of any show - 3 or 4 songs in and 2 hours to go…
Experience of a lifetime

It had to happen some time and hope it is genuinely not health related. The Stones have provided the soundtrack to my life and I can remember them on The Arthur Haynes Show when I was a kid. Finally achieved my huge ambition of seeing them live in 1976 and my life changed. Have had wonderful experiences at subsequent European shows, many of them with what have become lifelong friends. Met quite a few from here along the way. What a great ride it has been. Love and health to all of you and may the Stones enjoy their retirement from the road (although a wee club show in Glasgow would still be warmly appreciated)!

Quite simply an ever-present component of my adulthood. Never in a million years could I have imagined that the group, whom my late father first heard in 1963, would still be a living and breathing thing some sixty-plus years’ later. Their longevity and ability to enthrall countless fan’s two decades’ into the 21 Century is a phenomenal and unparalleled achievement. The Rolling Stones as a live-act: 1962-2024. With gracious thanks.

If there are no more shows(I think there will be residencies),then the last US tour was an amazing way to conclude proceedings.Personally I am delighted I saw the New York and Boston gigs.Absolutely awesome!

I think the Ridgedale MO show was fantastic, a great show to finish the tours.

For some, the final Stones show was the final one with Charlie, in Miami 2019.

For others, it was the two final shows with Bill Wyman as a full member August 1990 at Wembley Stadium.

Then again there were final shows with Mick Taylor too, I am so happy to have seen him with the Stones in 1973, and also during the tours from 2012 and on as a guest.

I did never see Brian Jones with the Stones, but I do still have great memories of Ian Stewart at the 100's Club.

What a band. What a story. A lifetime story.

There is the Sun, the Moon and the Rolling Stones. I've seen some unforgettable shows and still listen to their songs. Thanks for your music. Here's a little impression from Gelsenkirchen 2022.

This is really upsetting news. BV, can you offer any insights if this is health related? I really hope not. If it's not, I hope they can still appear once in a while for smaller shows or residencies (even if I can't make them in person).

I only saw the Stones three times -- 2006, 2021, and 2024 -- only once with Charlie. But seeing them last year for LA 1 was one of the most memorable moments of my life.

This news is really gutting me...hoping for more positive news soon

I cannot thank the Rolling Stones enough for all the joy brought to my life since my early schooldays when they first came onto the scene, which I remember vividly even now. Over 100 shows on, I have nothing but the best memories and was also taken to places I might never otherwise have visited. I feel blessed to have been at all those shows and especially the last one in Branson, which was already a stand-out for me from that tour. This news will take a while for me and no doubt many others to process. Thank you and love forever to the best rock 'n' roll band on the planet. No one in my eyes can or will ever eclipse them.

I was hoping for one more outing . I discovered the stones at 60 during one of the worst years of my life after the sudden death of my husband. I have had a decade of fun following their late blooming but IORR made me feel part of an international gang - thank you Stones, thank you BV and perhaps it’s not quite all over yet.

So it seems to come to an end with the touring.
Nothing can be for ever. Since first hearing Come On in autum 1963 they have been there for me - THANK YOU very much!
Happy to see them live first time 65 (2/3 + 1 concert) and all decades after that except the 80s. It's like life... it's comes to an end winking smiley

Very sad at this moment, but grateful to be a fan of this band since 1982. We all know that this moment would have come, actually we have been presented an unprecedented bonus of live joy. First thing this morning I put Black & Blue on the plate, not aware of the news. Looking forward to hear the new album. Love the Rolling Stones

Hard to say anything. For now all I fell is sadness but all those great memories will soon come and I will feel as lucky as can be for all those great moments and friends made over so many years “on the road” or on in room listening to the greatest music in my lifetime.
Thanks

Yep, well said. Same here. Gonna watch a video of the Berlin show in 2022 - the last show I attended.

Sad news, I hope it's nothing serious. I'll always remember Paris Longchamp 1995, my favourite Stones concert.
