Rolling Stones tribute bands are always a bit of fun ,particularly whilst we wait for next years tour.Saw Not the Rolling Stones the other night in my home town.Their Mick Jagger bears a good visual resemblance to our super hero. And their Keef who plays a variety of Fenders can play a mean guitar, and looks similar to the Riff Master, complete with Keef’s latest choice of shades(wish I knew where he got them from). And apparently the latter appeared in a film as Mr Richards, and Keef never asked for a penny.
The set list is pretty much diverse. We even got Brown Sugar,Sad Sad and Angry.

Saw The Counterfeit Stones a few weeks ago - they were excellent as usual.

Their singer is 74 and does a fantastic job, excellent musicians all around.

There is a good show that tours around the UK called The Rolling Stones Story - they are really good. They kinda cover each era in order. It's a good night out.

I saw Wilder Horses, a Virginia Beach based tribute band back in June. First time seeing them, but they were excellent as well. Horn section, backup singers, and played plenty of non-warhorses. Opened with Rocks Off if I recall correctly. Nothing from HD though.

Lol, just checked out a vid of them doing Respectable. It was fun... respectable and then some. Gonna pop into the record store and pick up a ticket to a Dec. 20 Richmond show.

For the Dutch fans ..

The Volendam Rolling Stones are back!

With a new show, a large portion of new repertoire, and even more enthusiasm for a party. Alongside the real Stones bangers, there will also be some real gems. So, the evening is perfect for those who want to sing along and dance, but definitely also for the die-hard fans who want to hear the more special songs.

With the singers: Kees Nor, Benito Bond, Cor Bond and Niels Buijs.

Band: Peter Kos, John Schilder, Johan Dibbes, Ron Veerman, Candy Muhren, Werner Lut, Bart Mooijer, Nel Duin and Theo Tol.

The all female Japanese ‘Lady Shelters’ have posted some great Stones covers on YouTube. Their joyous drummer is fun to watch smiling smiley
Best I’ve seen in the UK is The Rollin’ Stoned.

Is there any footage? I cannot find it. If a ticket is €17,50 for a Stones cover band-there are so many- they must be damn good? I cannot wait to hear the next Mick Taylor and Mick Jagger.

17.50 won't cover the costs...
