Managed to get a ticket for the final night at the Royal Albert Hall this December.I saw him many years back with the Shadows.Judging from clips I have seen from his recent Auz shows, where Hank Marvin joined him for a few numbers,he is on fine form.New Zealand dates are next up.Grab a ticket if you can.Nothing can stop this British icon!

I remember in the 70's and early 80's, Cliff was huge in the US. That is an excellent concert you are going to!

I don't care much for his post-1950's/very early 60's output, but he's undoubtedly a legend of British popular music. Pre-Beatles, here in the U.K., he had no real 'homegrown' rivals who could quite match him for popularity and sheer impact. With the terrific Shadows backing him, he was a real force. Despite not caring much or his 60's onwards work, I do admire how he adapted and continued to chart highly throughout the decade. After a real dip, he remerged in the late 70's and has arguably never looked back. It's pleasing to read that Australian folk are enjoying the shows.

He's gotten quite old now, and I doubt whether he sings live. Well, his fans are having a nice evening.

I remember once meeting with a British 70s rock legend Jesse Hector - check out his early 70s proto punk power trio Crushed Butler (best name ever!) - in the Spread Eagle pub on Camden's Parkway, near the long-running gig pub Dublin Castle, and him saying how NO ONE in the music business f**ked with Harry Webb aka Cliff Richard. He had massive UK hits in the late 70s and early 80s, Devil Woman, Wired For Sound, We Don't Talk. And I love his 1990s (I think) duet with Van the Man, Wherever God Shines His Light. I know I shouldn't, but I do.

He's certainly not singing live.

It's totally cringe to see him 'move' like that. I wonder if non-Stones fan look at Jagger the same way....

He moves like an old man, shuffling his feet as he steps, nothing wrong with that as he is an old man.

The Stones have somehow defied science, none of them move like old men. Sure there's lots of wrinkles but they all get around well.

Well he is 85 and in rather good shape.Just toured Auz and in UK now.Saw him the other night, great gig.
Mathijs he fluffed a few lines, and his voice was occasionally weak, but he’s definitely singing live.
Will catch the Albert Hall show tonight. Will post a few clips on you tube under my handle.

Some People was a pretty big comeback for him.

I'm just glad to see that Cliff's still out there and performing live to appreciative audiences. He's a National Treasure and his Christmas Calendar is usually a best-seller.

He does move like an 85 year old, and I don't think Mick wants to perform and be seen that way. Cliff is apparently willing to drop his standards lower than Mick, perhaps that's why the tour has been cancelled. Mick wants to look fit, not like an elderly person.
