The original studio release of "Hand Of Fate" is a good example.
Also agree with "Gimme Shelter".
Both productions unique in their atmosphere.
"Under My Thumb" is a good example how both versions became classics, 66 vibraphon and 81 electric version.

I agree about Hand of Fate. IMO, whilst Under My Thumb was indeed great during the 1981 and ‘82 tours, I haven’t been so enthralled by later renditions.

Talking of ‘60’s’ classics: I’d love to hear a soundboard recording - if it exists - of the 2002 performance of Heart of Stone.

I might be totally wrong here but isn't the boot from the warm up in Toronto soundboard? I remember (haven't listened to my copy for years) the sound to be a kinda hissing, flowing sound which I would assume is from soundboard? Don't Stop and Heart Of Stone are indeed great on that CD.
