Smallest venue you have seen the Stones play
Date: October 24, 2025 22:01

For me, 2002 Licks Tour, Chicago, Aragon Ballroom. Wikipedia says the capacity 5000, it was certainly full that night. Lucky to get tickets. Dr John opened up and came back and joined them for a song. Bono was in Chicago doing the Oprah Winfrey show and showed up during IORR. Before the Stones came out, we were over to the side and you could see the rest of the band walking by in an open doorway, then one guy came out to visit with a friend. I told my friend this is the saxophone player, Mr Bobby Keys. It was a good night

Cirkus Stockholm 2003 and I had the best spot in the house apart from being on stage. The next to the last time they finished with Sympathy.
Last time was at Werchter in 2007 and yours truly was there too, at the front.
Happy days!

Felt very lucky to be there. But the show two days later at Wembley Arena was a much better gig.

Yup, me too. First year that I started following the band on tour. What did Keith sing the first night-It’s a Long Way to Tipperary?

Indeed he did, he gave us a bit of a verse..
That’s a good boot of the first show but I haven’t come across anything from the second night…

Wembley Arena, 2003

I was hoping to get tickets for the Astoria, but was unlucky. Saying that though, it was a disappointing show, according to many, here.
