Mess it up was great live. So was Tell Me Straight.

But Whole Wide World was the best new song of the tour.

Agree that Sweet Sounds and WWW worked great live - and deserve to be played regularly.

Definitly! I hope they perform these great tunes next year!

Were you there?

I was! Got a pit ticket on the day of the show. Was a great time, and Joe Bonamassa opening was an extra treat, I’d never seen him before.

I thought Mess It Up was much better live than on record.

was hoping (almost sure?!) theyd break it out in NY with him as a guest.

I wonder why they waited til the last show to do it for the one and only time.

Joe is very good saw him open for Stones Seattle last year.

They also played it at the Racket back in 2023, granted that show wasn't part of the tour.

all the more reason to have expected it throughout!

i seem to recall people posting here through the last tour that the band kept rehearsing bite my head off during soundchecks

perhaps they felt it needed more rehearsal before it was ready to be played in front of an audience again (the racket version was pretty rough pre overdubs) or maybe they were saving it for the hope that mccartney would be able to join them on it at some point and that never happened and so they decided to just play it at the end of the tour

the way mick introduces it in santa clara (youtube) is a little odd like they were just trying to get it out of the way or they/he was nervous about playing it

probably me just reading to much into it since mick has been known to joke about messing up or not remembering less often played songs before they play them

They also rehearsed Depending On You. Would have loved to hear that one!

Also Get Close would have been great live with a Sax Solo by Karl Denson. Wonder why they didn’t try that one

I'm sad we never got to hear Get Close or Dreamy Skies live, I can understand why Dreamy Skies was never in rotation but Get Close is a great singalong and would've had the audience rocking. I saw two shows on that tour, Denver and Vegas and was bummed I never got to hear Whole Wide World as it was played pretty frequently and is my favorite song off the album, (some of those recordings of it were smokin!) I like Mess It Up well enough and thought the live versions brought a different energy that was unique - definitely different vibes than the album version.

Get Close

yes that would have been great. Really like that song. But I would also liked to have heard

Tell Me Straight

By Keith. I did the first two shows Houston and New Orleans and the last two shows Santa Clara and Thunder Ridge Arena, but at none od these shows he played the song. Sadly for me only at few shows in the middle of the Hackney Diamonds Tour

Realistically they won't play any songs from HD. Instead they will focus on 1-3 songs from the new album. I guess...

But you got to hear Out of Time & Time Is On My Side, two awesome rarities!

Tell me straight was excellent, including the first night they played it in New Jersey

Well hopefully with any luck BV and the other intrepid contributors to these threads will give us an early heads up on the tour dates so I can plan my European vacation accordingly around itsmiling smiley would love to see a show in the UK or Netherlands but I would make plans to see them anywhere. Tell Me Straight was great in Vancouver, they didn’t play WWW unfortunately but they did soundcheck Bite My Head Off and we heard it from outside. Now that I’ve had HD for well over a year I do think they really missed an opportunity not doing Get Close on any dates-maybe it’s hard to pull off live. Mess It Up was the only song Mick sounded pitchy on live in Van and BMHO strained too. It will be great to hear the new tracks! They should do the Zydeco one live! Anyway, hope to see some of you out there next year!

That NJ #2 show was a great one. In addition to Tell Me Straight, Rambler made its tour debut after being left out the first six nights of the tour. Plus Bitch and Heartbreaker.

NJ 2 is probably the best show they've played since Charlie died. Keith was ON FIRE that night.

I am still hoping they bring Dwayne Dopsie on the road as an opening act after his outstanding performance on Let it Bleed at Jazz Fest in New Orleans. That guy brought the juice!

I saw Sebastian Bach on Friday night and during his show he casually mentioned that the Stones are releasing a new album and going on tour in the spring. Info we already had here from IORR. I wonder if he just reads IORR or has some contact within the Stones. I know that he was friends with a bunch of the older rock stars so who knows.

Ok...so, Rush has announced a tour, with ticket sales open, through late December 2026, 52 dates. Sting tickets for May 2026 went on sale today. 2024 US tour Stones tickets went on sale November 29th, the week after Thanksgiving. That Tour was from April 28th - mid July 2025. would hope there would be an announcement soon, given there was a "framework" of venues/cities/timing already from this past summer's possible tour

georgelicks posted today on the mick sighting thread iorr

"Mick will do some press work next week due the release of Black and Blue, he took a break before that."

i'm assuming this means mick will be doing interviews and though black and blues reissue will undoubtedly be the main subject i can't imagine the potential tour and new album won't be brought up

Juan Ignacio is teasing about Belgium on Instagram stories, he also mentioned Italy some days ago. I think there is a good chance that venues in Rome and Brussels are being considered for the tour.

Dwayne Dopsie would be awesome as a support.I prefer the live version of Let it Bleed with him to the original. He could join the boys for another rendition of this Stones classic, along with Zydecho Sont Pas Sales. Now that would be fun.

It's more likely the 2026 tour will feature new songs from the new LP and one or two from HD similar to 1981-82 with ER songs included as new and 1989-90 with U and DW songs included as new/incorporated as a nod post-release previous tour.

Granted, those set lists were similar for NA and EU both times because of the new LP at the time but they did include one to two previously not toured before LPs so for EU in 2026 count on something if not a couple from HD, with, as usual, nothing post-1981, most likely nothing other than Start Me Up in regard to that year, with possible exception being You Got Me Rocking if anything post-1981 is performed.

Although perhaps they'll play Out Of Control instead since YGMR seems to be more North American.

That's an extremely logical expectation: they will ignore all except very likely one song from 1983-2020.

I think Mess it Up would be welcome in any Stones set going forward. They somehow managed to capture that vintage playful deviousness of the oldest material and put it into something new and fresh. I think it’s a modern classic.

Maybe you are right. The prime suspect will be "Angry" then.
