Trying to buy a couple of boot lps to USA from sellers in Spain & Netherlands & I've been told "everybody is having trouble shipping to us"...the Spain seller WONT ship to me & the Netherlands seller has to ship to France & then ship to me($25 extra shipping cost)I take it has to do with those terriffs ??? Anybody else ??

Yes, the tariffs are making things either more $, or some places won’t ship at all.
I was looking at cdJapan for the upcoming Black and Blue box, and it has a whole page on the shipping costs due to the tariffs - sounds like now a COD fee will need to be collected?

I also sell CDs, LPs and I am no longer able to ship to the U.S. due to the complicated process and high tariffs.

The United States eliminated de minimis that allowed one shipment of goods (per person, per day) valued at or under $800 to enter the U.S. free from duty and import taxes. This can lead to delays for consumers and a higher burden for postal services, which are working to implement new customs processes. Most carriers even suspended shipping altogether to the U.S. for a couple of weeks.

My experience is that buyers located in the U.S. are not always aware what these changes actually mean and what the process is.

I believe a few years have to go by until Americans get used to the idea of paying a lot more for items when shopping from abroad.

This is unfortunate. Americans are passionate about music and about collecting. 80% of my customers are located in the U.S.

Luckily, this is just a hobby for me and I do not do this for a living.

Myself? There was an election in case you didn't notice.

DHL tells me they can ship from Italy to the USA for ‘only’ Euro 79, no matter the weight: it’s a matter of volume. From 1 to circa 5LPs it’s the same. I can’t blame US customers who’ve stopped buying in the EU.

It is not just the EU. Shipping from any country in the world to the U.S. would more pricey than before August 29. Perhaps another carrier can ship for less.

Remember, these carriers have to do all the paperwork for custom and there are tariffs to be paid.

it's not just about the US tariffs but the general insecurity about tariffs. Right now they are being changed to quickly that carriers can't be sure that the tariffs are still the same as they were when goods were dispatched when the goods cross the US border. No wonder that a lot of carriers stopped dispatching anything to the US.

Politics. Such discussions have no space on IORR.
