i think we're still a couple years away from the end

but if ridgedale was it we won't know for awhile

i firmly believe they will never announce that there done touring or performing

it'll take either mick or keith dying or becoming visibly to ill or fragile from age for us to really know

and right now we're not there

if i was a bettin' man i'd give the odds of them performing live again at 80% and touring again at 60%-70%

there not done yet if they can help it

also you better change that thread title to something more clear and specific or bv's gonna blow a 50 amp fusewinking smiley

I went to Ridgedale because it might be the Last Time. I hope it is not but I would be upset if I missed the last one. That was one of the most difficult shows to get to given the Crowdstrike meltdown of Delta but it was worth it. No other reason to go to that part of the world EVER AGAIN.

I loved Branson! The whole few days surrounding this was magical too. I wish GlimmerGirl24 was alive to see what was going on there.

First of all - I have said a million times that misleading titles are confusing, and should be avoided. The title of this thread was in that category, until I had to change it.

The Ridgedale show was unique in many ways. In the 2023 tour schedule, which never happened, the Ridgedale show was planned late in the tour, between shows in Cleveland and Houston, but not as the last show of that tour. Then, as they built the 2024 schedule, it was natural to end the tour in Ridgedale, as it is a standalone stage, without need of the large stadium crew and stage.

I think most fans who looked at the map, and tried to plan how to go to the Ridgedale show, simply gave up, because the location is so far far away from anything. Usually I met lots and lots of fans and friends who I know at every show I go to. In Ridgedale there were mostly strangers to me, local fans. I talked to others on the shuttle bus to and from the Big Cedar Lodge, where we had parked our car. All of them were from the area, i.e. Missouri state or nearby.

We stayed in Springfield MO. Our UBER driver said he had two Japanese fans earlier. I met those fans at the show, in fact I know them. Such a small world. Next day, we got the very same UBER driver, when we went to hire a car, to get to the Ridgedale location. I have friends who drove from Chicago, and others who flew in from LA, but most, like I said, where from the area.

They never plan any show to be the last one. I am sure there will be another tour. Life is not predictable, and nobody knew that the Miami 2019 show would be the last show with Charlie.

Take a look at the below picture, taken by me during the Ridgedale show. Does it look like this is their final show ever? I don't think so.

I know people who went to every single show in 2024 except that one. I am suprised I made it because I tend to be transportation challenged. You couldn't even get a flight to Branson or a bus from Springfield. One of my favorite trips to anywhere ever. Beautiful venue, if I lived in the area I would just go to everything there.

As there were no Lucky Dips I went ticketless as always too. smiling smiley Might seem kinda high risk. Turns out that was the best way to go since if you are savvy enough to wade thru all the scams on social media there were Bass Pro employees all over the place trying to dump their comp tickets. If you knew how to navigate that you could have got in as low as $50.

They planned to tour Europe this summer, but several bumps in the road made it hard for them to go through with the plans. I have reason to believe they will tour next summer, may be even before that, depending on the new album schedule.

Still, a good rule is to see the first show of the tour, always special, and the last show of every tour, might be the very last one, plus something in the middle, if you can.

Dan's method is excellent. Just go there. You will never regret it. And Ridgedale, with the Ozark mountains, were simply amazing, a bit like the Stones in Imst Austria many years ago.

There will be a last show...one day, but the sad part is that it's been a year and they have nothing to show for it at a period in their life/career when time is of the essence. It does seem they managed to finish the "66/75% finished" album so that's something.

Imst '99 was a great experience. I loved the city party the night before. They really celebrated The Stones!

I just listened to Imst a few days ago, They were still playing the No Security arena tour setlist before they switched it up. Wait, what show are we supposed to be talking about again?

I was at this show and very much enjoyed the 3 days I stayed nearby.

It was a royal pain in the ass getting out of this place.

Well worth the pain in the ass to see the Stones.

It was a royal pain period except for 5 hours of absolute joy. Isn't that why we do it.

I wasn’t there. Apparently, teleportation isn’t a thing yet, and the distance was just too far sad smiley

Hi all, the travel to and from the show was definitely an adventure, no question.
But now I'm really curious to hear more about the show itself. smiling bouncing smiley

What did you like most about the show?
What was your favorite moment of the night – something that gave you chills or made you smile?
Any surprises in the setlist or performance that really caught your attention?
Did any part of the show feel especially emotional or meaningful to you?
Were there any moments that reminded you of past tours or shows?

Would love to know what made this show so memorable for you,
aside from the epic journey getting there and back!

Excellent venue, with surprisingly easy parking as long as you didn't dilly-dally after the last note. I love this part of the country and the people, taking in Bentonville, AR., and Miami, OK., in the days before and after the show. If I'd had more time I would have done the Truman and Evel Knievel sites. IIRC, you could have got to Ridgedale/Bransion via four or so airports. Logistically, it was more pleasant than venturing to the So-Fi or Levi stadiums.

Unfortunately the Springfield flight is only a few days a week and I was really bummed Yakov Smirnov didn't fall within the parameters. At least I fulfilled a lifelong dream of riding an Alpine coaster.

Keith seemed to linger a little and really savor the final moments.

My wife and I bought the premium tickets with food, drinks, and premium parking, and glad we did, we were back at our hotel in 20 minutes.

We did a dry run in the morning so we knew where we were going which was good because we got lost that morning.

Soon as we lost track of the boys on stage we power walked to the car.

One kinda funny observation was premium tickets didn't mean seats! There were some ultra-premium tickets with reserved seats, but the ones we had were "find a place to stand or sit in the grass or grab a chair and place it where you have a view" which is what we did so it turned out fine. Nobody we asked that worked there knew what we should do so we took matters in our own hands. Very nice staff, just nobody knew anything (which was amazing considering the place had been open a couple years, though I know some of the areas were new).

Venue was cool though much of the "premium" area had poor views of the stage (unless you had the ultra-premium tickets). Seemed more of a place to be seen than to see the show

Food was good, drinks were good, staff was nice, sound was awesome, surrounding landscape was beautiful.

My favorite parts were I could view a glimpse of the soundcheck! And Mick during the fan vote saying "Let it Bleed? I don't know that one". And the guitar mixup with Keith leading to Ronnie doing some improvisational guitar work. And Keith saying about the area "I might move in". Also got 4 songs from Hackney Diamonds that night.

That might have been where I accidentally ended up. Not the greatest view of the stage but a wonderful panorama and a wholly different Stones experience - incl. a buffet with excellent mac and cheese, and a piglet roasting on a spit. The poor wee thing had probably been playing with his family that morning, and now ....

Missing seeing the boys. Hoping it all comes together next year. Had an amazing time last year, met some great people. A unique way to travel and see new places.

I don’t think it’s over yet. I fully believe there’s some more to come

Sounds like it. Strange arrangement back there, a tower that you could only see the stage if you were in the front row of the tower, a lawn where you could barely see the whole stage and only from a few areas due to a huge fire pit area...

Juan Ignacio, owner of a Stones Tribute pub and mentioned in the thread about the rumoured Rolling Stones Tour in Europe summer of 2025 as having inside information (he announced Seville and Lisbon before they were confirmed here), posted on Instagram stories that there will be a tour next year.

This is good.
I'd say it's over 80% they play live again.

I take 85%

A married couple that I've known since forever made the trip halfway across the USA to see the last show of the 2024 tour in the Ozarks. It's a good thing that they did: By year's end, the husband was diagnosed with lung cancer. He was gone by the end of March. So never mind whether it's the last Stones show. You never know when it's your last show. Live it up while you can.

I’m glad I did the journey to St. Clara first and then to Ridgedale Missouri. Staying in Branson. I think I met the same Japanese couple as Bjornulf (bv) did, as he mentioned earlier. Also met Gail On The Rail of course and a few other fans from around the world. looking at my photo, Keith was happy too? Well he sits down here, but that is common with this song the last tours. I saw him doing it in 2021 for the first time in Hollywood Florida at the Hard Rock Hotel. I think he started this at the 2021 tour?

I sat next to a couple from Virginia, they said they e been meaning to see them forever and finally made the trip, nice folks, let me look through the tour book they bought, etc. Hope it's not them but then again it's sad news for anybody.

This.... Doesn't matter if you are 90 or 30. This motivates me to do it while I can. I had an uncle who spent his life saying next time. It never happened. There are many of us "senior citizens" who go out in tour for the joy of the music and experience and when the time comes can go knowing we lived life the way we want. If I can go and they are playing, count me in.
