I'd love to go back and watch their very first show at the Marquee Club

>> (Steel Wheels) that tour is startling: it was massive, the stage was massive, the shows were massive, the hype was massive, possibly the most hype for a tour ever.

Many years after Steel Wheels I met an electrician who worked the shows. Until that time 500,000 watts was the biggest supply to a show (he said The Who). Steel Wheels used 1,500,000 watts with special power trucks.

I've seen all tours since 1972 and I can honestly say I don't miss earlier shows.

Oh god, any show or tour from 1962 to 1982. There are recordings and footage and stories from here and there for sure to get the idea, but I can only dream what it was actually seeing them in their wild and dirty prime in flesh. I was born too late for that. That doesn't mean any show from 1989 on - my first is from 1995 - isn't exciting, they surely are, but probably still the whole thing is mostly a nostalgia trip to anyone involved. The element of 'danger' is gone.

Give me a time machine and transform me there to dance wild on the floor of the Crawdaddy Club back in 1963..

My first tour was VL so would be nice to see the boys with Bill. Anyway I saw him together on stage with Ronnie and Mick T.

But hey, why do you leave the most exciting tour of them all - 1969 - out? I think it would be thrilling to follow the sound of 'the greatest rock and roll band of the world' to develop into its full glory, show by show, in the very front of your eyes and ears... And they probably never been that relevant by every sense of the word as they then were.

The early tours I was not there or I was too young, so who cares.

My only big regret is not going to see a club show of the 2002/2003 tour. Probably I didn't try hard enough, who knows.

Or I wasn't ready to spend big money to see a concert ... I remember it wasn't too hard to buy the premium combo (stadium arena and club + meet and greet), only it cost what I, at the time, considered a fortune.

As a matter of fact, ten years later I spent almost the same amount to see the O2 concert alone ..
