Yes, I just caught that too. I think Ronnie really has been capturing the new market forums, better than the Stones.

Looking forward to the live Kinks stuff on vol 3 as well! Though can't believe they left "Art Lover" off the set, what a great song.

***Ok, having reread the lyrics to Art Lover after not listening to it for many decades, it's seriously creepy and I can see why they left it off!***

Not sure any are Hits apart from Maggie May.
Would have preferred a new solo album from Ronnie but this is a nice second best.

Thankfully! ... Overall very disappointing from Ronnie. After all this time, this is all we get? He should have released 3 additional solo albums by now since I Feel Like Playing, it's been 15 years!

It's about his daughter, and not being allowed to see her as much as he liked, if memory serves.

yes it is i looked it up

but i also read that an earlier version of the song had a line in it that made that more clear but he removed it to make the song more vague

which is a pretty bizzare choice in my opinion

nice music though all things considered

In all the interviews with Ronnie that I read in the past couple of years, noone ever asked him about a new solo album. Is there a reason why? Is this an off question? Or does nobody among the press expect any further music from him? Ronnie appears to be an affable guy, I can't imagine that a question about a new solo album would piss him off.

What a great anthology!

What, none of the 4 on DIRTY WORK he co-wrote make the cut or the two he played drums on? The one he played saxophone on?

That's funny. Of course, it's not, that album blows. He's probably embarrassed. Rightfully so.

One Hit and Dirty Work are certainly no tracks to be ashamed of.

To be honest they are very good tracks along with Sleep Tonight, Too Rude, Winning Ugly and Harlem Shuffle

Ronnie's last solo album was better than the last two Stones albums, and he works fast. Feel Like Playing was top notch, i have no idea why that didn't inspire Ronnie to make another one. Perhaps there's more money in painting pictures of band mates.

I don't think the question of "are you going to make another solo album" enters the minds of the press, to them he's the legendary guitarist in the Stones, i doubt many of them even know he's made solo albums.
