There is a band called The Blushing Brides, a Canadian rock group formed around 1980 by guitarist Paul Martin and singer Maurice Raymond. Initially, they aimed to imitate the Rolling Stones and eventually became known as a Rolling Stones tribute band. They have been performing and touring since 1979, injecting their own personalities and professionalism into their performances.
If you're interested in exploring their music, you can find more information on their ReverbNation page or watch their performances on YouTube.
Are there any other bands like this ?
Of course there are!
In the late 1990s I went (with a pal) to see one - likely the Counterfeit Stones - and we ended up chatting to "Mick Jagger".
There had been a lot of publicity in the previous few weeks about this pretend band being hit with some sort of Cease & Desist Writ from the real Stones. We asked "Mick" about it, and he told us that by pure chance the previous weekend he'd been to a small event in his local small village and had met the real Mick Jagger's (then) PA. She had reassured "Mick" that the legal stuff was pure crap and it had been initiated by some over keen legal person without any reference to the real Stones and that they (Jagger and co) were "mortified" at the way things had turned out.
Interesting conversation.
