This is fantastic news! The best bet for them would definitely be to release the new album in November for the Christmas market, then hold Black And Blue Deluxe back til maybe next April or so.
I am personally very pleased that Andrew is back for another album.

Of course! Funny to read much criticism of him, from what I read, we would never had the previous album if it wasn't for him - and maybe the upcoming one as well.

The Rolling Stones i.e. Mick, Keith and Ronnie, pluss several of their support musicians, have been at the Metropolis Studio London UK all through May and more i.e. 5-6 weeks working on the songs for their next studio album, also more studio works in the past, after the 2024 tour finished. Great days for all Stones fans!

For those who do not like their current album "Hackney Diamonds" I would ask: Did you go to any of their live shows in 2024? They sound even greater live.

To those who did not see The Rolling Stones live in 2024, you have something to look forward to. Save your money, get the new album when it is out, and plan for at least one show of their next tour. You will NOT be disappointed!

we are way past them exceeding our expectations.

It's just remarkable to be getting yet another album this year, so close to HD. No reason to think they wouldn't just continue releasing new material as long as they see fit. Not an expectation, just a hope!

Omg I'm so exited! I miss seeing them live and loved Hackney Diamonds. I'm so excited for more live shows and of course for a new album later this year.

The B&B Deluxe release will have no influence on the new album. They could release both in November and the B&B sales could even benefit from the Album release. They often released two Archive/deluxe albums in the passend with only very vew weeks between the releases.

I checked this forum every day for news on the new album, and I knew that when it was finally stickied then things would be getting real. So it's a little like Christmas morning for me!

I'll take every note of new music that I can possibly get. It's fantastic knowing that more new music is on the way. No longer a rumor or a wish, but really moving through the pipeline. It's always exciting wondering if they've started reaching out to artists for album cover ideas, or if today is the day when they finally settled on a title. Of course the anticipation for official word, the release date, track listing, any special guests, ect.

Special recognition for Andrew Watt, and serious gratitude to Mick Jagger and Keith Richards for bringing him in and agreeing to give him the authority to produce on a real deadline. I have no animosity toward Don Was, but he didn't have the authority anymore to push them to complete a record. There was a lot of inertia to overcome and it seems by bringing in Watt, they were able to overcome it twice now

After an 18-year wait between ABB and HD, it practically feels like this HD followup is coming at light speed. I mean, how many legacy acts struggled to put together a late period album and then just had nothing left after it? The fact that they were able to complete a solid record on a relatively short deadline and then still have what they felt was quality stuff left over afterwards, to me is beyond impressive.

Anyway it's exciting, uplifting news. After an incredible six decades of ups and downs they're still producing new stuff. It's truly incredible and a treasured gift, and I really look forward to checking in and sharing the excitement with the other excited Rolling Stones fans.

The stones won't stop rolling!!!

Om my god I'm so excited!

Watt also was the fire behind Dark Matter, the newest Pearl Jam album. Probably the most important skill set of a producers these days is to not let stuff sit in the vault unfinished. HD won a Grammy (and Dark Matter was nominated), and putting the two albums preceded two massively successful tours.
Watt inspires legends to add to their legacy and actually finish and put out music. Enough cannot be said about him. He must be making the process more fun for everyone involved.

Can't wait! (But I'll have to, of course.)
