It is not a rumour - it is a fact. The Rolling Stones i.e. Mick, Keith and Ronnie, pluss several of their support musicians, have been at the Metropolis Studio London UK all through May and more i.e. 5-6 weeks working on the songs for their next studio album, also more studio works in the past, after the 2024 tour finished. Great days for all Stones fans!
For those who do not like their current album "Hackney Diamonds" I would ask: Did you go to any of their live shows in 2024? They sound even greater live.
To those who did not see The Rolling Stones live in 2024, you have something to look forward to. Save your money, get the new album when it is out, and plan for at least one show of their next tour. You will NOT be disappointed!

Ok, some fresh information:
The album is almost ready, 95% at least, some missing overdubs will be finished in the next few days, there are tracks in the mixing stage now and it is estimated that everything will be finished by the end of June or the beginning of July at the latest, very similar to the recording of Steel Wheels in 1989 which was from April to June of that year.
Andrew Watt is working like crazy on the album, sometimes 15-hour days in the studio, I'm told that Keith is getting back to the US before the weekend, he's been working really hard too, not to mention Mick who pushed hard to finish the whole album in "2 months maximum" in his words, I'm told about some surprise guests on some of the songs but nothing has been confirmed yet.
Steve Jordan on drums, Darryl Jones on bass and Matt Clifford on keybords, that's the basic line up on most of the songs, and that the stuff is mostly new, everything was recorded on these sessions.

wow
so not made up of leftovers from the hackney diamonds sessions
that really does raise some interesting questions about what we're about to hear and what the fate of those dozen hd outtakes is gonna be
hope they kept the leftover tracks with bill and charlie

This is just speculation, but maybe they're re-recording some of the songs that were originally written & recorded for HD. It's hard for me to imagine that they're all going to be brand new songs, but I don't know.
I'm still going with predictions for a Dua Lipa duet and the second track they recorded with Paul McCartney. But I'm doing nothing but guessing.

I’m guessing something similar to Hackney Diamonds. A promotional show 2025 and Europe 2026! Any chance for the IORR band in 2026?

To me it is one of the great joys of life to approach a new studioalbum by the Rolling Stones! HACKNEY DIAMONDS reminded me of that fact. Soon to be given that privilege once again is awesome!
