And if they've been rehearsing in secret, that would be a first.

Was there anything known about their rehearsals before 2023 Racket NYC ?

As it happens, there was some chatter:

Thanks for the infos. Didn’t notice that at the time, since I was probably too busy with the Hackney Diamonds midnight sale and the bus tour.

Without giving away my source :

Album has been listened to in the presence of Ronnie and Mick
Key takeaway ‘a 60s vibe’

The Cockroaches marketing is the real deal .. but I guess we all figured that

Could this ad about cockroaches be the vinyl edition of the Mocambo concert from 1977?

Wasn't that already released in 2022 - [iorr.org] , [iorr.org] ?

Are we sure that the Foreign Tongues title rumour is legit? Because if not, The Cockroaches could be the title of the new album also.

Since Ghost Town I take Deathgod's posts as gospel ;-)

Since the Early 60s songs like Out of Time, 19th Nervous Breakdown, Get Off Of My Cloud worked so well on recent tours with Steve I can totally imagine them going into that direction.

"Not The Way To Go" is an example of a song that really strikes a 60s vibe. They recorded it in the late 1970s and I am surprised they never released it as a single.

Jagger going for an album full of early 60s sounds???? Rather unlikely, I'd say.

A 60s vibe? Like 68-69 vibe?

I think Jagger is fine with any kind of style as long as it is mixed in a modern way like Hackney Diamonds. Don’t think they will do one style for the album. It will probably be a mix of several genres like Hackney Diamonds

Vibes are highly subjective.

Don't take them literally.

60s vibe is super exciting! Big difference between the 1965-66 vibe and the 1968-69 vibes of course. Either works for me

I can't imagine what a real 60s vibe means in 2026, or what part of the 60s is being referred to, or whether that relates to song craft, instruments, or production. Or how many songs have that vibe. I'm more interested to see how this viral campaign (aimed at the mid-1970s, not 1960s) relates to whatever the new record will be, if at all.

Yes! This is very much a case of ‘keys wait and see’ Thus far, all we’ve got to go by is marketing jargon. Personally, if it’s Andrew Watt, we’re getting ultra-processed, ‘modern-sounding’ fare. Persia he’s capable of organic, old-school Rolling Stones; it’s not what what was delivered on Hackney Diamonds. It personally, I’d prefer A Bigger Bang-style production, with a huge improvement in songwriting.

No problem, Professor! thumbs up

As for the "60s vibe" that has been commented, I can hear that in Whole Wide World. If there's more like that for the upcoming album, it'll be wonderful.
