But holy shit that sounds awesome!

Of course, but then again, Mick probably has a full stack of various bluesy jam backing tracks to play along with just for the fun of it. Doesn't necessarily mean that it's part of a new song or an extract of the new album - it's just a jam, nothing special, nothing extraordinary, although one always gets excited when Mick is doing things like these... He surely knows how to tease us!

True, maybe not as good as the "2021 (?) rambler" (or the 2022 harmonica promo snippet) that wasn't on HD...and since georgelicks told us that the album was in post-production it's likely that one will stay in the drawer too :-(

Bernard just posted on Facebook: 'At it again', with a studio pic.

Maybe they aren't done yet?

This snipped of Mick doesn’t sound like a demo. It’s definitely professionally mixed. I bet it’s a teaser of a song

YES!

Where is THAT!!!??

What are they thinking leaving that off!!!????!!!!???!!!

The closest thing to Midnight Rambler ever. Different, thankfully, yet haunting.

All these snippets may be months old before posted. Sounds great but it reminds me of a song fade out like Miss You

I admit I don't usually spend much time on these fragments that have been appearing over the last few years, but I've listened to this one several times because I like it quite a bit.

The teaser clip sounds really good. Definitely professionally produced and likely to be on the new album. Anyone know if they have been actively doing photo/video shoots ahead of the record?

No. It is good be skeptical, but if we leave the toughest epistemological issues aside, the question is not IF but WHEN the new album will be released.

Yeah, I think these little clips are not any extracts of a new album, but just items of their own, not having any other function than these little clips of showing 'look, I'm in the studio/making new music now'. By contrast, I think if he would have some true song idea he knows he is going to release, I don't think he would share any of it beforehand. They want to keep the surprise value. (Yes, I do know that one line from "Mess It Up" has some resemblance to one clip he shared).

And I also agree that no matter how lovely him/them playing the basic blues always sounds (especially if we just hear a few seconds and let our imagination go wild to think the rest), there is a long way to go to them finding it actually worth a release. Usually it is warming up music for them.

Yeah, the mix sounds similar to that on Hackney Diamonds, hinting that this is a snipped of a finished song. The demos Mick posted in the past all sounded much less polished and more raw. This also seems to have acoustic drums, sounds like Steve.

Yes, there will be a new album, but not in the time the fans are demanding, which is NOW. They're in no rush, and neither is the record label: Blue and Lonesome was finished in April 2016 and came out in December; Hackney Diamonds was finished in March 2023 and came out in October; and if we go back a decade, Keith's Crosseyed Heart was finished in mid-2014 and came out more than a year later.

Just because Mick uploads a clip doesn't mean the album will come out tomorrow.

At this point, there are two options for a releaseyawning smileyr late November/beginning of December, or in the spring of next year (late April/May)with a new Tour to support.

Yes that "crunchy" guitar sounds like Keith and isn't usually in Mick's teasers.

With B&B 2025 slated for late November, it's likely to be early 2026 now, better timing for the (likely) tour than HD.

Who said it was "due" in May?

Where does this kind of crap come from?

NO ONE said anything about a new Stones album in May.

In fact, no one has said anything about a new Stones LP in 2025.

No one being The Rolling Stones or UMG.

There's not even been a hint about the BLACK AND BLUE deluxe except for some sites saying so (featuring two extra tracks!!!, which, of course, is bunk).

Very strange.

From the Telegraph-interview with Ronnie on May 17:

«And later this year he will be back working with Jagger and Richards, planning the next Rolling Stones album. It will be their 32nd studio album (not to mention the 39 live albums, 28 compilation albums and 51 video albums).»

when bv drops a hint, things are happening.

Also the Paris rumour make me confident they are working hard to make something happen in 2026.

I am ready.

For the moment, I prefer to interpret bv's post as hinting at a possible summer tour in 2026. He doesn't say anything about a tour in support of an album, be it the hoped-for new album or a potential extended B&B.

It is clear that we would love to get a new album or an extended B&B. But wishful thinking should not be mistaken for facts. Regarding B&B I simply know nothing other than the album will have its 50th anniversary next in 2026. Regarding a new studio album we have at least Mick's comments when HD came out that could be seen as indicating that another studio album is at least under consideration, in addition to apparent recording activities and info from usually better-informed sources such as georgelicks. But recall that it is not so long ago that we were told not to hold our breath. winking smiley

<the hoped-for new album>
<But wishful thinking should not be mistaken for facts.>

Not sure why you say that, especially after Bjørnulf said that "the new album is not a rumour, it's a fact", after they finished recording it in May. Add georgelicks contacts in Universal, and his comments, and we're past the wishful thinking-point, aren't we?

The BAB-release is a strange one, though. Why should it come out in 2025 in the first place? And the reports of "two bonus tracks" sounds like bogus to me. It has to contain way more than that.

Funny how we get stuck in a spin cycle until something really happens. Info has been posted from good sources just not official

From georgelicks:
“There will be more than 2 "new" songs, it will be very similar to the GHS reissue that had 3 additional tracks and 7 instrumentals and alternative takes, B&B will be the same and with a show from the '76 tour included on another disc.“

The Rolling Stones have been working on a new album: “They’re all hyped up”
Keith Richards' son, Marlon, also said the band were "planning a tour of Europe"

During an interview for the new Rolling Stones edition of Record Collector, actor and film producer Marlon Richards – son of guitarist Keith – was asked what the group were up to currently. “They’re in town right now, recording,” he responded.

“They’re in Chiswick [West London] or somewhere like that; I think they’re nearly done.

“They gave them a Grammy, so now they’re all hyped up on that: ‘Oh, yeah – we can do another one like that! We’ve got more like that if you want…’. I think they’re doing the
follow-up.”

Richards then addressed the speculation about a forthcoming tour: “I think they’re planning a tour of Europe.”

The interview with Record Collector was conducted back in May –
