I think she basically just posts what she reads on IORR...

So you're saying she's well informed.

Looks like the flame is trying to catch fire again.
As a woman of facts in these things, I’m just waiting to see what really comes through. Could be smoke, could be fire.
Still, it’s interesting to read all the posts full of wishes, hopes, and hints…

To be belittled by Rolling Stones fans on a Rolling Stones forum for being excited over the release of some new Rolling Stones music. Just a wonderful thing.

It was mostly a joke. Maybe I've heard the Tom Brady and Home Depot commercials too many times.

It absolutely was not meant to hurt your feelings, piss you off, etc. I'm sorry.

The loss of your parents, the grieving of that happening, yikes. I certainly understand that in some ways having experienced my wife's death. I hope you can find solace sooner than later.

Some people here just have to act like jerks, I guess.

i was telling gls to calm down not you (i should have quoted him)

sorry for the misunderstanding you have have every reasonable right to be excited these are exciting times for stones fans and you did nothing wrong

we could do with a little more raw excitment and little less sales analyticswinking smiley

i'm sorry if i offended you

i just thought gls response to you was way over the top and bizarre and didn't come off as a joke to me

gls a lot of times when i read your posts i can't tell if your joking or being serious

might i suggest in the future you use the emojee things to indicate that your joking

If you live for revenge, gonna feel the backlash
If you live to be cruel, gonna bite you in the ass

Understood.

Also, I could certainly say things better, or not say them at all.

I remember during the Bridges press conference in '97, the inevitable question of "Is this your last tour?" came up and Keith said, "Yeah, this and the next ten." He may have been about accurate, ha. Never would have expected at the time they had that many more:

1. No Security
2. Licks
3. Bigger Bang
4. 50 + Counting
5. 14 on Fire
6. Zip Code
7. Ole
8. No Filter
9. 60 and Counting
10. Hackney Diamonds
11. ???...

Well remembered. It was evidently a tongue-in-cheek response to such a tired, old question; even as far back as 1997, I’m sure they were already weary of it. It’s amusing, as I don’t recollect the last time they were asked that particular question. I think it’s a case, with the Stones, that you never really know!

Agreed. She is as far from legit as my third dog.
Sign me up for a new album and a new tour but I won't be reading any of her outsider info for source...

I wonder if any of Charlie Watts' work will be used. Most people on this forum will disagree with me, but I think Live by the Sword is a really good song. For me, the whole album is still great.

I agree and according to Keith we have not heard the last of Charlie Watts.

I have set of drum sticks he gave me. I treasure them.

That's great, the drumsticks. And nice to know that there might be more from Charlie. It seems that the Stones are winding down. And now they want to make and record as many songs as possible before the real end. With their ages, they are now very vulnerable.

“ I’m going to treat you right. I’m going to treat you good” Live by the Sword to me almost sounds like it could have been on BETWEEN THE BUTTONS. love it. Very much looking forward to a new album.

LOVE Live by the Sword! PLus it has a brilliant long fade-out - I love Stones fade-outs.
As I wrote in my review a few year ago,
'Charlie’s second track, featuring Bill Wyman and Elton back on keys, is a chippy rock number with a cool Sixties-style chorus, sung by Mick in his sarky London voice, double-tracking on the bridge, and with Ronnie bouncing on his soles through a sinewy solo. Charlie, Bill, Keith, Ron, Mick – a quintet heard here for the very last time. It’s a grower that bounces along, and has a good fade out too, right down to the crash of Charlie’s last cymbal.'

on first listen I had been nodding along. It was only when Live By The Sword started that I got up and danced (badly)

I think either the LBTS dudes need to get a room...or at least get a thread devoted to professed love for this song.

Hi Treacle,
I often agree with you, but concerning LBTS you sound like the guy who wonders why there's so many wrong-way drivers on the road today here...

ha ha! good one. I wondered whether I'd venture into this love fest, and have to admit I'm a bit surprised by all the love, but that's what makes this band great, something for everyone.
