I don't believe anything unless it's from bv or the band themselves.

That's crazy. I have the utmost trust and confidence in BV and if he says it is a fact that it is believable.

Here are many people on this board who proved over the years that they have inside information.

For those, like me, who don't know a great deal about this 'Metropolis Studio', this Wikipedia entry is an interesting read. The building is Grade II Listed and is actually named 'The Power House, Chiswick' As it's only up the road from Shepherd's Bush, perhaps the Stones will consider an album launch at the famous Shepherd's Bush Empire! Deeply wishful thinking, of course!

[en.wikipedia.org]

Maybe they'll call the new album, Shepherd's Pie?!

FOR THE COVER: A stack of film reels, cd's/dvd's/blu ray, an Ebike tire, the meat pie on top of that with wax figurines of Mick Keith and Ronnie on the very top.

I need me a slice of Shepherd's Pie!

I just heard a rumor from someone in the ticket industry that there is a major act trying to book an extended residency at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in September.

Anyone know this place?

A multi-night run at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium was among the rumored stops on the Summer 2025 tour.

That stadium would possibly be available between 3rd and 10th September (international fixture break), but the football season starts in August.... not sure they'd want the pitch being messed up so early in the season?

It's a multipurpose arena with an retractable field.

there we're rumours back when news of the tour cancellation that they we're attempting to reschedule dates for the fall

maybe that's what's happening

do i dare let myself hope?

could they possibly give us both a new tour and album in the same year?smiling smiley

I think that would be a bit premature.

The last thread was endless, and BV shut it down because of all the off topics on it

Maybe something like 3-4 London shows with album release then if all is well a bigger European trek next year? I think September would be a little quick for everything, no? I was thinking more like November if there really would be shows

I could see them doing a Racket-type show in London in November - a few guest stars - showcase cuts from the new album, just to get everyone hot and bothered and buying it up before Christmas.

I don't see a tour though until 2026.

Pure wishful-thinking of mine, but I want to see them play the Co-op Live in Manchester a couple of nights sometime in September - December a la The O2 2012, to make amends for the aborted Hackney Diamonds UK/Euro tour as well as previewing some tracks off the new album.

More substantial tour next year.

This is all purely speculation on my part but maybe….just maybe we are getting the part 2 of HD, a more KR influenced record and mixing schedule a la his suggestion of an alternate title to HD being Smash and Grab. It would be really cool if the boys dished up a more raw, less produced collection of songs as sort of a mirror to HD. Once again, I haven’t a shred of evidence that this is the case but that would be really cool. Nevertheless, a new album possibly before the end of the year would be a lovely gift.

A few shows was mentioned. As a possibility. But specific.

I think there was some early talk of a few shows in a few big cities. Not sure if anyone can find this, and ofcourse if it's credible and up to date (plans change)

A big tour seems not likely, but I think there is reason to believe there will be more than 1 shows, and that we as fans can get tickets.

Anyone know this place?

Under the traditional sense of the word "residency," where artists could play up to several shows a week at one location, The Rolling Stones could only play up to two shows a week.

Is there any venue open for over a week to do 3-4 shows? Plus add in 3-4 days for load-in and out

A venue would have to open for a month for an "extended residency" by The Rolling Stones.

You can build up stages in one day. Prince played in 2007 at the O2 in between the Stones shows on his own stage. Nothing has to be blocked for a month.

It's also pretty close to the old Olympic Studios in Barnes where it all started for them in the 60s

Interesting indeed because -- happy to be argued with -- he is one of the few of their contemporaries who is a stand-out, brilliant keyboard player and who is still standing. I count Elton John as a 70s star, though I know he started out doing sessions in the 60s. Geting excited...

Agree, I'm hoping for less Rock and more of Keith's Roll.

Fingers crossed, it would even things out a bit as i don't think HD was entirely the album Keith wanted to make.

I hear Keith's been working hard on this new album but he tends to walk away in recent decades and leave the final touches to Mick or Mick and the producers. That's not going to do justice to Keith's hard work in my humble opinion.

He can't afford to take his eye off of the ball.

This article from Independent covers everything that has already been said here about the new album, but it also says "the Rolling Stones are reportedly planning to announce UK shows in the coming weeks, after issues over venue and travel options were resolved". [www.independent.co.uk]

Does anyone know if there is any truth about that or if it's old news about the cancelled summer tour in a new article?

If you read what you shared you would know.
