Crikey - that's 500+ really interesting Lots. (Small number of Stones, more of Beatles, and then masses of other people).

This lot [www.juliensauctions.com] is REALLY interesting.

Cover art by Alan Aldridge for an unreleased Rolling Stones album .

What's really interesting about that is that it puts Aldridge - and by implication his work - into the orbit of The Rolling Stones in 1969.

This adds to the indications that the Tongue and Lips logo could well have been influenced by a strikingly similar one done by Aldridge for his book illustrating Beatles song titles. (Discussed here many times of course).
