Any more 2025 news?

All kinds of rumors flying around. Nothing concrete really it seems

they maybe are/were recording in los angeles

ronnie maybe playing with rod stewart at glastonbury

a deluxe black and blue is supposedly in the works

the planned summer tour is off supposedly due to logistics reasons and they maybe trying to reschedule dates for the fall or next year

keith got a nice award and mick gave one away

It’d hold far more weight, coming from Mick. Anyway, I do believe there will be more shows, no matter who posts whatever on ‘social media’

Note, that this quote comes from Villa di Geggiano, an Italian Restaurant in London. And who knows when Ronnie said the quoted sentence.

This announcement will still take some time - don't expect it ‘soon’ since it's not clear what the status of their recordings is.

I doubt that they're recording. They're old men that enjoy rest and families.

I figure winning a Grammy after putting out the most well received album since Tattoo You makes me think they might not make us wait 18 years until the next one.

Reading this [timeisonourside.com] is a bit frustrating because you can list off multiple times they just talked a bunch of crap and nothing came of it.

Which leads to this kind of statement:

I didn't realize it was that easy! All I have to say is I want to make a record, and everyone gets behind me and works their fcking arses off? Great.
- Mick Jagger, September 2023

And, aside from people thinking it's got to be all new, which makes zero sense, because as discussed multiple times elsewhere LIB-IORR and ER-U wouldn't exist since they all have "old songs", I don’t think it’s the last Rolling Stones album. We’ve got almost three-quarters through the next one...I have to finish them. But we got three-quarters of it done... There’s a few tracks that we didn’t release that perhaps were a little bit more (sounds and styles) that you’ve never heard the Stones do before.

[timeisonourside.com]

That's a bit like how he felt about BRIDGES. In some sense, perhaps HACKNEY, and the leftovers, is the philosophical follow up to BRIDGES.

Hopefully, without a tour this year, they finish the HD leftovers and have a new album for when they do tour or whatever time they release it. If they're brave they could still do 2 or 3 HD songs as well as 2 or 3 new songs amongst the usual snore of the set list. They did that in 1981 with 2 ER songs and 6 TY songs (5 TY songs in 1982).

It's a real shame no tour. I had really planned on spending part of the Summer in Europe this year.

A new album isn't the same. There is an energy level missing without a tour.

You can spend a part of your summer in Europe.

Go do YOUR thing.

That's all that should matter.

That's all that should matter.

That alone is great for sure, but if that travel includes seeing a concert or more of our favorite bands or artists, it adds a lot more to the fun of it.

Of course!

Certainly there are others to see! Yet alone just whatever.

A friend reported that a trusted source relayed that there will be no more big tours. Instead probably some one-off performances like at festivals or maybe a residency. He noted that there was no reason given (everyone is healthy) and many in the touring band/support were quite disappointed when the news broke. That's it. No other news or speculation. Take it as a point in time from one voice. Things could change.

While there's certainly a high chance that no more big tours will happen I highly doubt they'll be doing one offs. Everyone knows how long they need to rehearse and how rusty they are at opening shows. A residency would be more likely although many fans would prefer a real tour. But If they don't feel like doing it anymore then it is like that. We had wonderful tours. The Stones were present for my whole life. But we all know the end is near and maybe already took place in Ridgedale last year...

I believe this could be true. It was strange how they backed out of the tour. Almost like it was just too much trouble. Can't blame them. It's a damn circus. Even still, wouldn't mind seeing them.

I still am. Got Neil, Samantha Fish, Ben Harper and a bunch of other shows.

hard to imagine that Steve Jordan breaks (broke) news like this (in case it's true)

Similar to HouseBoyKnows info, I have a good friend who is friends with a member of the backup musician touring party (it has never got me anything, haha) and my friend was told that there are plans to play in England and France but no other info such as when or how many shows.

Well, we’ll have to wait and see, but they’re elderly, now. It’s perfectly possible that the last North American jaunt was the end; even if they didn’t think so, themselves. ‘One-off’s’ and ‘residencies’ won’t please everyone, though I’m sure we’ll take that over nothing.

Didn't one of the IORR members from France comment that we would know more in April about whether there is any hope for September/October and venues like Stade de France. Noted that it's early April and this will be wishful thinking...

And I remember 15-20 years ago on these same boards people telling me limited touring like they have been doing since 2012 was doubtful.

You’re correct, of course. The difference is that they are now in their 70’s and 80’s. They’re not ageless; they are ageing.
