Scheduling conflicts for the first 3 dates are mentioned by this Portuguese media : [www.nit.pt]

That seems like a more likely explanation than some sudden "the Stones will never tour again" scenario...

Scheduling conflicts is my go-to excuse if I can't commit to something. Works every time.

Starting to wonder if that Hang Fire post on the social platforms a couple days ago was cryptic or not

I came on the forum after seeing the sad news about Marianne (RIP) but then saw this too. BV is right - one day we will all see our last RS show, maybe I already have. To be honest I've been thinking it was the last time since Bigger Bang ended at the O2 in 2007, so I've had a lot of bonus shows! The trick is to live in the moment and enjoy every great experience, whether it's seeing our band or just listening to their albums. No one knows what's around the next corner and it's later than we think. Thanks to BV - it was a fun ride planning Summer 2025.

Thank you so much, BV, for everything you've been doing for us! I couldn't wait and kept checking the list of rumored dates pretty much every day, but let's hope we get some great news later this year!

Ah man this news has hit me hard.

It’s always the way with bad news. It catches you off guard midway through some idle Thursday. And slaps you like a dead fish across the face.

My first reaction was sadness, the plans I had made, the dates I’d booked off the excitement of friends I’d see again that I only see when the boys rollout. Then worry about Mick Keef and Ronnie (quick round of guilt that I was gutted before worried for their health).

But the ultimate feeling that sits with me now is that of gratitude. My first show when I saw them was supposed to be on borrowed time with them. The other 12 certainly must have been.

And gratitude for the people I’ve met following this most wonderful wonderful band. It’s a complete joy.

And finally gratitude for IORR and BV. We take this stuff for granted and it’s been this man’s gift to us all. So once again thank you BV.

I hope this is just the next time that we say goodbye but if this is it. It’s been a hell of a ride…

…we live in hope of one more turn….hope springs eternal

Obviously disappointed but fingers crossed everything is ok.

I feel really sad for my son, because I was going to take him for the first time to see a couple of shows (hometown Lisboa, of course) and London or Paris.

He is really sad because he also was looking forward to share with his dad that special magical moment: “Ladies and Gentlemen, The Rolling Stones!”

More than just a tour, I hope for good health to the Rolling Stones. These guys have given so much to the world for 60+ years! Whatever happens next, I cant express enough how their music was the soundtrack of my life and had gotten me through good times and bad!

Well, we have discussed here in quite some detail which other acts or festivals might (or would) get in the way in Summer scheduling-wise or also financially, so I wouldn't a priori discard scheduling conflicts (maybe in the broader sense) - even though it's a handy excuse, of course. Perhaps they hope for better ticket sales in a potential fall tour, with less competition around.

Personally, I would prefer for them to finish (the recording of) Son of Hackney Diamonds first and only then go out on a tour.

We should remember that there was offically no tour ever announced. We are just fortunate to the have the info from this site before everyone else.

The Stones will roll on, just have to be patient.

Do I need to hear Disc 2 of Hot Rocks + Satifaction, Tumbling Dice, Start Me Up, Miss You, and Paint It Black performed live once again? Not really. But seeing these guys go on and one has really been an important thing in my life, for whatever reason. Hope to see them again. But they've already taken this thing to the max. Rock on.

The sun rises “first” in Japan, but any news is usually a day late.
I read the disturbing (unofficial) news in the morning of January 31 from family in Holland ( they “keep an eye on IORR toowinking smiley).
There is a reason for everything as also “my” history with The Rolling Stones did teach me during 61 years. I sometimes worried, but learned that that’s been a waste of positive energy.
Like Bjornulf wrote, complex tour preparations could be a reason, but just as much personal circumstances could be there (just remember Mick Jagger’s pain in 2014).
The Rolling Stones are still alive and kicking and that’s what really matters for us the fans.
Let’s look forward to new music and live performances sometime in the near future and meanwhile enjoy their great music (as I do almost daily here in Japan until the winter is over in Europe).

Thanks for the update - but such a BLOW! Feels like i'm in a terrible dream. So sad. Was hoping to celebrate my 50th birthday with a few Stones shows around Europe. Have been a diehard fan since I was 13 :-(

Hope the boys are well!

Not taken from here, more in line with what other media have stated, it could not be made to "work"...How could it not though with the obvious demand ? Most likely because the promoters could not meet the likely exorbitant guarantee that the Stones require before they go out and strut their stuff. It's odd that nothing can now be organized before 2026 !

Ofcourse this only leads to more speculation, but if this is the reason it's a lot better than health issues. Also for future prospecting.

I do find it strange that a tour can be blown off this late (if this was the reason). The logistic problems where known a long time. I suspect there has been a significant change in tour approach somewhere in december/january from a ~20 show tour with start in Paris to a ~14 show tour a bit heavy on the Iberic side, which everybody knew, brought a lot of logistic challenges. That was strange on it's own, but not being able to solve this/work arround it is something I didn't expect.

We will probably never know what happend. Would love to know though.

Not necessarily strange.

There could have been reasonable optimism that it could fall into place...but in the end, and as organisational deadlines loomed ...it just didn't.

That said , speculation in the absence of information satisfies only our irresistible urge to share our thoughts.

We can only cross fingers and toes ...and wait smiling smiley

And that'ms all folks. I'm very sad, i really thought my 6th years old daughter gonna see them. But it will never happened again i'm afraid. Thanks BV for all. See you

Antoine, I know you are very well informed, are you really sure they are done touring? I'm so sorry for you that you can't take your daughter to the Stade de France this summer.

I'm just pessimist on this one but i have no reel info for the moment. I'm just afraid that touring is finish.

In many ways I hope it's true that the scheduling just wouldn't work, but to say 'they'll try to sort something in 2026' sounds a bit ridiculous for a band with members of their age.

Well, to me it was quite visible that something could be wrong logistically. They changed the concept from around 20 to 14. Maybe at that time it appeared that 14 is not enough and too risky with 2 concerts in the same city or even some cities with a single concert where promotors could not handle the guarantee. Maybe it was also impossible to organize with limited staff/equipment and they gave up touring this spring.

For a Tour that was never announced to make the front page of The Times website is very, very unusual. Shows the comms power of IORR, Shidoobee and social media. But it also says something about the Stones fame and the touring era coming to an end.

My suspicion is that the reason for no Tour is the wish to finish the next album. A similar reason in 2023 - and who could ask the Band to spend 4 months on a Tour (prep, rehearsals, gigs, time away from home - ie work!) AND some weeks recording, finalising and launching another album.

The PR people, if asked, will give off-the-record reasons - a smoke screen. Like everyone I'm hoping its nothing more serious.

It is very sad to hear this news, with the air tickets already purchased to cross the ocean from Buenos Aires in June and see the tour with 5 friends

Unfortunately a postponement would not work for me (because I already have the flights booked), but I hope so because it would mean that they are fine

Just an honest question: why did you book your flights before the tour was officially announced?
