Barry Goldberg died yesterday aged 83. He was known as one of the best keyboard players. He played with old Blues legends such as Howlin' Wolf and Muddy Waters, also with Bob Dylan at the Newport Festival in 1965.

A Stonesy connection exists through Mick Taylor -- Barry Goldberg played with Carla Olson and MT during their work together, and MT played on Goldberg's CD 'Stoned Again' and on his work with Percy Sledge.

RIP Mr. Goldberg. Along with Mike Bloomfield, was a founding member of The Electric Flag.
