Abbey Road is a no go for real Stones fans

But the RS HalfSpeed-Vinyl and the 1971-2016 Studio Albums Vinyl-Box were remastered there, just as Abbey Road Studios often do the lacquer cut for RS releases.

Thanks for the input. Decided to go with a place near Abbey Road….we will just have to bite the bullet and figure out public transport!

A much better part of town.

right – although Abbey Road is a no go for real Stones fans winking smiley

Arguably the case - other than Mick & Keith being on "All You Need Is Love" and Brian on "You Know My Name (Look Up The Number)"

Any interest in Abbey Road can be readily assuaged at this URL [www.abbeyroad.com] Enjoy.

As far as I know there isn't a webcam across London at Olympic in Barnes.

I have to say I visited AR in 1969 as I began life as a Beatles fan (still am.) In the late 70s however, I went over to the "dark side."

Yeah, I felt a bit queasy there. Still, you have Lord's cricket ground and the famous Primrose Hill, and someone wrote a song mentioning St. John's Wood. (My last Airbnb was in Primrose Hill - great area - sharing a home with a guy who produced a Gram Parsons-related movie)

Those coming from US be aware of the Electronic Travel Authorization. Its an app on the phone and a fee. Good for 2 years.

Not only from the United States - also citizens of the European Union need for the UK an ETA from 02-Apr-2025. For more, see the first post in this thread.

And at some point in 2025, the European Union will introduce their own Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETIAS/EES) - [Travel-Europe.Europa.eu] .

Yep! It’s no hardship. The U.S.A. have had their visa-waiver scheme for years.

But it can be difficult to travel under the Visa Waiver Program if you recently visited as a tourist certain 'undesired' countries - [ESTA-Travelsite.com] .

Or if you have a criminal record, of course. I have one, and was ineligible for Canada’s waiver scheme. I applied for a visa, that was thankfully granted. I fully understand why some may have reservations towards such schemes, but boarder security is paramount in today’s world.

Haha! And after London we’re going to Liverpool! Traveling with a Beatles fan (but haven’t we all been one time or another?) and she’s never been. Hope it doesn’t turn into a Beatles Vs. Stones fisticuffs.

I have been humming Play With Fire since making the reservation.

Liverpool is fab. There's no way around it, unfortunately. It was also the best stop on the 2022 Stones tour. Make sure to book the National Trust tour of the John/Paul childhood homes. There's no other way to get inside.

I was thinking it’d be great if they played there again this time, but assume the chances are slim to none!

Thanks for the heads up on the National Trust tour. Checking it out now.

If Totenham stadium is confirmed: what would be the best locations for a show? (besides the PIT)

Does anyone remember PIT prices at past concerts in London?

Over £100 for GA. Over £150 for Golden Circle. Lucky Dips go on sale day of general sale.

Agreed. I’m, personally, not prepared to spend much over £100 on a GA, though. Add beer and food, and it’s an expensive day. Still, it’s not every year!

I think for the first time (if it is at White Hart Lane) it'll be easier for me to drive!

It's not an easy ground to get home from as the streets are narrow and the nearest station is relatively small too. Trains leave from Liverpool Street to White Hart Lane and then its a 7 minute walk to the ground.
