Will probably stay in Shoreditch. London hotel prices are awful as usual.

Shoreditch is a good choice and also within easy walking distance of Liverpool St station for going to the stadium.

Booked a flat walking distance for the run of shows. Would rather stay elsewhere but not interested in a 3 hour commute.

I'm kind of under the weather here, I think I'm missing some important details...

What dates are proposed and what venue? Many thanks

The Tues and Sat dates now look to have been firmed up in the "rumoured" schedule.

Me too - hoping to see Ronnie with Rod though as small consolation!

Let’s hope the second date eventually turns up after Glasto, from 30 onwards. It’s in a “rumoured” state now, after all…

So, 3 friends and I are gonna try for the 2nd show and I’m looking at lodging near the venue. I found a good one for one night, but most likely we will want to visit sites in London in the days beforehand. Is there a better central location for everything, or should I just book a different place for the sightseeing?

Everythjng fully refundable at this point, of course!

It’d be a waste of money to book somewhere different, just to sightsee. The London Underground and bus routes will get you to the touristy spots from your North London lodging.

quite to opposite, I'd say. If you stay a couple of days you'll vist different sites to see in London on different day but you'll will be traveling to the concert venue only once. Thus it makes more sense to look for accommodation in central London and not close to the stadium

Yes, okay. Well, the fundamental point is that booking more than one hotel is unnecessary.

Thanks for the input. Decided to go with a place near Abbey Road….we will just have to bite the bullet and figure out public transport!

I'm sure you've thought of this, but if you haven't, something to consider is the comfort of staying walking distance to the show venue, and instead put your travel efforts into sightseeing when you're not fighting the crowds all jostling for the same train/bus/uber etc.. It's only a personal preference but with my age etc I much prefer leaving the concert and being back in my room quickly.. On non-show days I enjoy longer walks, trains, plenty of Ubers etc when I can relax smiling smiley

That's what I do in most cases. I have to places booked near the stadium for just that reason. The only city I am not staying close is Amsterdam because I know my way around. Right now I have 2 bookings at the stadium. One is a 5 minute walk, It is bigger and more expensive so depends if friends want to stay as well.. Will decide as it gets closer.

I certainly agree, and that’s been my MO in the past. So much easier to just walk back leisurely. We’ll see if I live to regret this.

It’s a fairly straightforward Underground commute from St John’s Wood to Seven Sisters:
