Hope it happens. It's really horrible what's going on.

Tho it might have been good to name this "OT" as it doesn't really have anything to do with the Stones

The Grammys Awards are going ahead a few days later on the 2nd February so there will be several musicians heading to LA at that time.

Brings back memories to the 121212 Sandy Benefit show.

As far as I understand, the fires are still running.
I really hope they will be finished way before the show.

Heard lineup includes Billie Eillish, Lady Gaga and Pink. Likely others but no appeal to me so far.

Good to hear they are doing something to help all those who were / are being displaced in California . HOWEVER, what about all those poor folks in North Carolina who are still scrambling to survive months after floods destroyed their towns. Its winter there-- people living in tents. Not a lot of multi million mansions there, just regular folks and not much seems to be getting done for them

I'm from Europe and I hadn't even heard of that sad smiley

FEMA allocated billions in aid for hurricane relief. Most of those affected are not living in multi million dollar mansions but regular people. There should be sufficient aid to help ALL of those affected. The amount they will raise by this benefit will be a drop in the bucket but the symbolism means something.

Earth, Wind & Fire – very appropriate… confused smiley

I'd go for Green Day, Joni Mitchell, Stephen Stills, Sting, Rod Stewart, Chili Peppers, Stevie Nicks and Dave Matthews & John Mayer. Not a bad lineup. Though I can't tell if its being done at both the Forum AND the Inuit Dome, so are some gonna be at one place and the others at the other place.

Earth, Wind & Fire? Isn't that in bad taste?

But seriously, glad they are doing this but lineup isn't going to get me there. Joni Mitchell, Stephen Stills, Stevie Nicks only ones with some interest and quite a few I don't want to see. The 121212 Hurricane Sandy Benefit only had Kanye West in that category and really was a tough one to sit through. As I have been told it is 2 shows going on at the same time with artists split between the two.

Join us for an evening of music and solidarity. The FireAid benefit concert will be held at Intuit Dome and Kia Forum on January 30th dedicated to rebuilding communities that have been devastated by wildfires.

They should have the rock ones at one venue and pop ones at another. I'm sure they'll split them pretty equally, but honestly I could see it being better the other way. I and many others would go to one and people that like pop and want to see those people could go to the other. Why make people choose and have to sit through half of people they wouldn't care about? At that point, it seems to encourage watching and donating from home.

I think it’s a fine line-up.
Stones will probably donate money.
They don’t have to perform and they are out of shape right now.

So far:

Intuit Dome:

-Billie Eilish
-Earth Wind And Fire
-Gracie Abrams
-Jelly Roll
-Katy Perry
-Lady Gaga
-Lil Baby
-Olivia Rodrigo
-Peso Pluma
-Rod Stewart
-Stevie Wonder
-Sting
-Tate McRae

Kia Forum:

-Alanis Morissette
-Anderson .Paak
-Dave Matthews & John Mayer
-Dawes
-Graham Nash
-Green Day
-John Fogerty
-Joni Mitchell
-No Doubt
-P!nk
-Red Hot Chili Peppers
-Stephen Stills
-Stevie Nicks
-The Black Crowes

It seems, as it makes sense, Intuit Dome is largely pop and the Forum is largely rock. At Intuit, the only rock that stands out is Rod Stewart, Stevie Wonder and Sting. The Forum is a pretty solid lineup though, might have to grab a ticket, almost no one I WOULDN'T go see do a few songs.

Also of note, both Stephen Stills and Graham Nash are supposed to be at the Forum. Gotta imagine a Crosby-less reunion?
