But why can't we have a professional DVD version of this?
And a great concert!

Because the Stones cannot reach a publishing agreement with the heirs of the original producer, and some of the original tapes are missing.

Also since we have LA Forum and El Mocambo I‘m not really sure if it offers any additional value. Sure, From The Vault releases are always great but there are more interesting ones to me.

Euro 76 tour was a slightly different set list. Inc Black & Blue songs as well.

Stage is very different to LA 75.

The build up to the start of the show backstage is fascinating and gives you a glimpse into another world of mid-70s jet set and hangers on.....

I never can understand this philosophy by the heirs.....

Surely 10% of something (with The Stones weight and machine behind it), is better than 20% of nothing.....I have just guestimate the % btw.

Also these films & music have a limited shelf life....its not as if there will be tens of thousands of purchasers to buy these in say 20/30/40 years....

Who or what are they hanging out for.....krazy !!

Agree the percentage.....work with The Stones.....get a decent amount of cash just now.....while you can.....and make the fans happy !!

I for the same reason don't understand the Stones.

Next year is the 50th anniversary of Black and Blue and the 1976 tour. Let's hope for something.

It could be something different, like the heirs are two brothers who hate each other's guts. Or the heirs have turned Mormon and are not allowed to watch TV.

Or it can be complicated, like the producer originally signed the contract for a TV show meaning the broadcasting corp also has rights.

All I heard was that there is no agreement with the heirs of the original producer, and that part of the film is missing.

Freddy Hausser did the digital transfer of his material himself in 2003.
The issue is really a conflict between heirs.

Universal has been in discussion for releasing the Abattoirs since 2017, if not even earlier.

The artwork for the Deluxe Release was ready in 2017...
