cool

that's the version i put together awhile back with the better audio source synced to it and few songs as stereo matrixes with the original audio

sweet little sixteens a real treat at 1:23:02 that's the presumably lost freezer source that i used for the audio which for a 70's audience recording is close to about good as it gets

What strikes me about the 1978 tour is how fresh it was. They played almost every song from "Some Girls" which was released just prior to the tour (in June).
I think that was never repeated again in the years to come.

Regardless of how many songs on an album, 1978 was 9 out of 10. 1981-82 6 out of 11 but they also played two from EMOTIONAL RESCUE.

Since then they've averaged, overall (this is not scientific) 4 songs per new LP.

1981-82 they averaged 6 new songs

1989-90 it was 4 plus one each from the previous two LPs

1994-95 it was 6

1997-98 it was 5

2005-07 it was 3, and in 2007 it flipped between 2 and 1

2024 it was 3

Haven't seen that one in a while - can't remember if the sound was different because it's never been great - but it's refreshing to see just the band. 1981 was similar although with a goofy stage. 1989 the stage was an even bigger part of the show but it was still about the performance.

Video being part of the show was 1994, less so in 1997 (smaller), but after that it kind of became such a normal wash, although NO FILTER was probably the best use of video of all the tours because it was more of a focused augmentation than a focal point since they weren't all the same usually.

it's still not great but it's much better

the original source was so bad that you really have to pay attention to figure out which song there playing

i also improved the sync which is really off in some places

That's actually great quality, on par with my first DVD bootleg from Fort Worth the same tour that I must've purchased around 2003. It's a pity they never got back to NOLA, Shreveport or Baton Rouge on every tour since.

Nice one barbecue! smileys with beer

1978 was 9 out of 10.

8 only. No SG, no BTMMR.
