Badfinger's "Magic Christian Music" released Jan 9. 1970. Produced in part by Paul McCartney -who also supplied the LPs breakout hit single "Come and Get It". This track has a distinct "Revolver/Rubber Soul" vibe. Early days but a very promising start.

here's something different

so this is the music played over the intro of a somewhat obscure video game called snatcher for the also somewhat obscure sega cd console (mega cd elsewhere in the world)

released originally in japan in 1988 for the pc-88 this is from the sega cd port of the game from 1994

i've always loved this piece of music and thought it was great by itself

I remember the SEGA Mega CD. There was only the one child in my class who owned one, if I recollect. IMO, this and the 32X were the beginnings of SEGA’s downfall.

well they did manage to release two more consoles the sega saturn and dreamcast both great well made consoles with tons of fantastic games

but yeah they never really regained the popularity they had with the genesis (mega drive to you i suppose)

i got my sega cd and 32x at a yard sale in 2006 with a big box of games

the sega cd had some great games (snatcher, sonic cd, the lunar games) and a ton of weird fmv games

the 32x is more of a novelty

though it had the first version of doom i ever owned and for the longest time the only one
