I'm just intrigued by the mention of an "Official" fan club. What have I been missing all these years?

Last experience I had of any "official Fan Club" was that promoted on the release of Undercover in '83.
On first release it came with a slip promoting the Rolling tones Official Fan Club.
I dutifully sent off my submission and, a few weeks later , this white cardboard folder with a tongue on the front turned up; containing some band member photos from the 81/82 tour, a badge, a few other bits of dubious nonsense and a promise of "news letters" .
...and that was the last I ever heard from them.
edited to add that this place, created by BV, is the best and only fan club that most of we could ever want or need.

In 2005 there was The Rolling Stones Official Fan Club for ticket pre-sales, along with an exclusive member's only DVD and commemorative tour poster - [iorr.org] , [iorr.org] .
