Good enough piece, but I can't get along with the subheading 'He helped shape classic songs by the Rolling Stones, the Who and the Beatles but his influence on music has been largely ignored. A new documentary aims to correct that.'
It's not been 'largely ignored' at all, he has long been celebrated in many articles and interviews, and in the book that came out years ago. It rather p*sses me off, this pretending to be the just voice righting wrongs that don't actually exist. All good for the documentary, though...

Well, I doubt many people attending a Stones gig these days will have heard about Brian Jones or Mick Taylor. They probably know Mick and Keith, and maybe that guy Ron Woods.

Believe it. I was at one of the 2013 Los Angeles shows with Taylor. They started playing Midnight Rambler and one girl said, "That's Mick Taylor." The other girl said, "Who?"
Ridiculous that there's a complaint that Hopkins is unknown. The right people know who he is. He was not a flamboyant personality who pushed himself out there, and was gone before he could be fully appreciated in the public eye.
