OT: A rememberance of Country Joe

What a great read. It will be fun and interesting to explore the various genres of music he's performed over time and maybe is still doing. The Electric Music For The Mind And Body album is well worth grabbing and listening to. A few cuts from it ride through my permanent music mix. His gimme and F exhortation from the Woodstock movie was part of my uteful (Cousin Vinnie flick reference) time along with the Feel Like I'm Fixin' To Die rag which was in a way, ironically sung by me and others, serving in the military during the Vietnam War era. The article made me think of Graham Nash and chorus singing We Can Change The World at the end of one of his solo songs. It was a time.

Luckily I missed the Vietnam war by a few years. My favorite line in his song I Feel Like I'm Fixin' To Die is " The only good commie is the one that's dead"
